This saved my most favorite black jeans!! Seriously brought them back to life, and I am so glad I tried this bc it’s about to save me so much money on not buying new black jeans for work.First of all— READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!My jeans are 70% cotton. It does NOT work if your jeans/ clothing contain a high % of polyester. For a whole bottle of dye you will use 6 gallons (32cups) of boiling hot water, 2tsp of laundry detergent, 1 cup of salt and let sit for 1 hour submerged. Rinse then light wash. (I dyed 4 pairs of jeans with one bottle)Highly recommend trying this if you don’t want to spend money on new jeans. But again READ. THE. INSTRUCTIONS. This does not work on all materials. Read the tag inside your clothing to see if this will work for you :)Ps, it will stain your bath tub if you spill any from your container or pot - but Bleach washes it right off

Like new!
I wish I could’ve posted some before and after pics but they don’t show up to well on my phone. However, this product is amazing and the process of dying is super simple. It really does make your black pants look like how you first bought them. I’ve only used it on pants btw. This is a great money saver and I wish I would’ve gotten my hands on these way sooner!

Good but washing machine method did not work
I tried the washing machine method listed on their site and it barely changed the color at all. I did the tub method next and it got way more black. Wish I would have done this first.

Works great
My daughter has been dying for a black jean jacket. We found some for $6 but they were light blue. But if figure for $6 she could test the waters and see what she could come up with. The dye soaked into the fabric nicely. I brought some water to almost a boil, added dish soap and salt and an entire bottle of this dye. Dropped the jacket in and stirred it really well. Stirred the jacket like I was storing a giant pan of soup for like an hour or so. Took it out and rinsed with cold water. Threw them in the washer with an old towel. Washed them a few times getting as much dye out of it as I could. And it’s still pretty saturated with black. It dyed evenly and she loves them. I’ll also add that I dyed one jacket at a time. Brought the dye soup back to almost a boil for the second one and they both looked the same with great saturation.

Does not work on synthetic cloth
It worked decently well on my cotton shoes but turned the white shoes purple. I'm going to re-dye them; hopefully, that will work. However, my cheaper synthetic cloth didn't even stain whatsoever. I didn't realize there was special dye for that type of cloth; So overall not bad, I guess, but not entirely effective.

Really Works
You need to have a bit of time to do the dying by hand, or you can go to the website and read the instructions for dying in the washing machine.By hand generally requires less dye, and the results are likely to be a tiny bit better better. The washing machine is less labor intensive--and the results will be good nonetheless.
