INNOVA 5310 OBD2 Scanner – ABS & SRS Code Reader, Check Engine Light Diagnostic Tool with Battery Test, Oil Reset, Live Data – Works with Most OBDII Vehicles 1996 & Newer

I decided to finally upgrade from my $40 scanner I bought from Amazon about 5 years ago and went with this scanner. First off it’s very affordable for the features it comes with. I’ve seen reviews of people saying it’s difficult to use and what not. For me it was fairly simple. Yes, it was a bit of a learning curve but not difficult by any means. It will read engine, transmission and Abs codes. My favorite feature is the ability to connect to an app on your phone which lets you really see the different possible fixes for your code as well as it give you links to where you can buy the parts you need to fix your issue. You can see live data, but the best feature I found was you could get a vehicle history report through the app for only $10 which is much cheaper than car fax. For someone who flips cars that is an amazing affordable feature. I still have yet get a good use out of it, but from what I’ve seen it is a great product 100% recommend.

Best scanner I've ever had so far. I've always been someone who is had like the cheap 20 to $30 scanners that can do basic engine codes. But really wanted to invest in a nice one that could do a lot more. And this was the answer to my problems.

The 5310 is very lite weight and easy to handle when working in the floor of my vehicles. Screen is very bright and easy to read. Cable is more than long enough to stand and review the data while connected. My one complaint is no paper quick start guide. It is difficult to read the online manual while connected via Bluetooth to the 5310. Flipping between the 5310 app and the online guide is a challenge when starting up and, especially, when accessing advanced features. I was pleased to find the 5310 would reset my minor error codes (gas cap issue).

Item was packaged well, arrived intact and in a timely manner. This OBD2 scanner replaces the exact same one I seem to have lost. Item is easy to operate and functions as advertised.

Excellent device at a very competitive price. Important tool for root cause analysis of engine malfunctions.

Everything work great

I bought an INNOVA 5310 scanner because it stated that it could read my Jaguar 1999 XJS including the SRS faults. I work on a number of different cars that I have and I thought this would be a good one to have. WRONG! When I plugged the scanner in according to the product directions it would NOT link to my Jag. It would get stuck at either 30% or 61% link. After several iterations (turn the car on then plug in thre scanner, plug in the scanner then turn the car on, then plug in the scanner and start the car,,, you get the idea, I put the scanner to the side and went to work on my other projects. When I cam back to this a year later same problem. After numerous calls to customer service and waiting each time at length for someone to answer, I was directed to try a multitude of things. Download a new software package, try it on other cars, got to Autozone and see if one of their scanners would connect (they did), send in an investigation ticket to the tech department (I did), their response was "we dont see a problem, take a video of what I was doing to link and send it to them" a video.. seriously!! It was nothing but a huge waste of time and a big runaround!!! STAY AWAY!!! Its not worth the Hassle. My FIXD device works better!!
