1L (34 U.S fl. Oz) Clarification Agent for Home Brewing

Follow directions, get clear beer. Zero sediment. This beer is commercially clear. Will be ordering much more of this. Made of colloidal silica it is similar to biofine but works as well if not better. I work in a brewery and this stuff is legit. Buy now and you won’t regret it. Keep in mind when kegging that your first 1-2 pints may have some haze but the rest will be commercially brite.

I've used it a few times now to cold-crash and clarify lighter brews. It works fine and I do not detect any taste from it in the finished beer.

As someone who brews VERY frequently, using gelatin become a pain. Love how easy this is. Just pop a tablespoon (15ml) into the keg (1.5 gallon size), rack beer on top, seal, put keg on gas, purge headspace, crank up the PSI and give things a good shake, and then finally turn the regulator back down to carb up at serving pressure. First 3 ounce pour is cloudy, then you're left with ultra-bright beer. Love this stuff!

The description of this product "colloidal silicon dioxide solution" makes it sound like it's the same thing as Biofine clear. In practice, it is not. While this product technically does work, it takes <i>well</i> over a week at 4C for the beer to clarify, at which point one has to wonder if just cold crashing for that amount of time would have the same effect.Stick with gelatin or biofine, don't bother with this.

How does this stuff have such a good rating? Doesn't work well at all. I've put this in 2 of my 5 gallon batches with poor results. You're better off with isinglass or gelatin (or just time in your keg). Save your money. (FWIW, I've been homebrewing for over 10 years).

Works well to clarify beer

Like most WilliamsWarn products the research and time has been put in to produce an excellent product. This clarification agent is easy to use. No mixing required. It does produce a very clear beer. I have used it for some time now and get a clear brew every time.
