Great all-round light
Pros- Really easy to install, and the fixture holds nice and tight without slipping. The light has a small amount of play to allow you to angle it away from oncoming cars which is a bonus. Multiple levels of intensity gives great versatility - at 400 lumens I can still see enough even on completely unlit stretches. 1100 lumens is great when I get off the road and could do with being able to see more of my surroundings. Two different flashing patterns are great for added visibility during the day. Seems to be really well-built, and has a "premium" feel. Has survived a couple of moderate showers, though it hasn't yet been tested in prolonged heavy rain. Cons- Bit on the pricey side, though as I said it does feel like a premium product, and I don't feel ripped off after spending £60-ish on the set. Battery life feels a little stingy. I'm lucky that I only have to use it for 30 mins at a time in the early hours so I only need to give it a top-up every other day. Worst case for me is that after about three days of this sort of use it went into the red. I could see it being a pain if you needed to charge from empty every day though. No way to change intensity down, you have to cycle through brightness levels in order. This is only a minor thing but if I want to step down a level (say from 1100 to 800) I have to make four clicks, which means scrolling through the two low-power flashing settings, and that's not ideal on the move in the dark. All in all though, I highly recommend this light. I'll definitely look to Cateye when I get round to buying a backup light, and I would definitely buy another one of these as my daily driver if mine got lost or broken.

Super-bright light with just-below-adequate battery life
These lights are BRIGHT. I have the 800 and the 1100, and cannot look into the lens without my eyes burning. They're extremely bright and will light up a good amount of scenery in front of you. The battery life, however, is a little bit disappointing. They take a long time to charge, and require a lot of charging. I could probably get a few short (20-30 min) rides out of one before it is on 0%, but other lights supposedly offer more time per charge. You do get more battery life when you reduce the brightness though which I suppose would be useful if you're not riding in the pitch-black! One thing worthy of note is these lights remember their previous mode. If you set it to mid-beam and turn it off, it'll be on mid-beam when you turn it back on. That's probably expected. BUT... If you set it to low-beam and then double-click the button to put HIGH beam on, then you press the button again, it'll go back to low-beam! That means it can basically double up like a full/dipped beam - that's one of my favourite things about these. The housing on mine is aluminium but I know some of these have plastic housing. The alu housing feels solid, is not too heavy (though does feel extremely sturdy), and does offer decent heat dissipation (these get warm). The flextight bracket is actually a fantastic design. It's really simple to put on, and the lights are easy to slide on and off (though they shouldn't come off unintentionally, because you need to press a button or pull up a latch depending on your light model). Overall, except for the subpar battery life, I'm really happy with these. That's why I got two!

CatEye AMPP 1100
Exactly what I wanted, well made and easy to attach. The full power mode is extremely bright and maybe too bright for road use but amazing while riding through the country tracks and woods. The lower power modes are great for road use without blinding other road users.

A good, bright headlight
I really like this light. Easy to attach on the handlebars using the plastic screw clamp bracket provided. I like the three different brightness levels and the two flashing modes. Easy to operate controls - there's just one button which is easy to operate even when wearing gloves. There is a low-charge warning light, but unfortunately no other way to interrogate the device to find the actual level of charge. Easy to charge via the provided micro-USB cable (although you'll need to source a mains charger yourself) and appears to be solidly constructed.

Excellent light and Cateye Quality
I did a lot of research before buying this light and glad I went for this one. I've had a Cateye light many years before so knew the quality of build would be good. What I like: 1. Really well made 2. Pressing the button twice returns to max brightness - saves going through the sequence of modes 3. The brightness modes are well thought out, 1100 for off road, 800 country lanes and 400 for under street lights 4. The light beam is just right with a good spread to the sides 5. The handlebar mount is really good - just slide in with nice click 6. Spare mounts are available

Great light output, but poor battery performance, and now it smells like burned copper!
I bought this item November 2022. It was great at first, but when I started using it, the battery is very poor. I fully charged it for more than 3 hours, then when I used it for 30mins to 1 hr on the brightest setting, it went low battery very quickly. Now that it's nearly 2 years since I bought this item, the charging port was burned for an unknown reason. My room smelled like fire and it nearly burned my wall sockets.. I do not recommend this product for safety reasons (faulty electronics/ faulty wiring).

Cracking light!
I bought the Cateye 1100 to light my evening rides, but I think I’ve accidentally installed a second sun on my handlebars. It’s so bright I half expect the National Grid to send me a thank you note. Cars now politely give way, foxes salute as I pass, and I can probably tan if I ride long enough. Solid build, easy to fit, and bright enough to make Big Ben squint. Smashing bit of kit.

Faro cateye anteriore (finziona bene).
Iil faro funziona bene, la luce è sufficente per viggire bene al buio.
