CirKa "S91" Premium 90s-Style Controller for Super NES (Import Edition)

Since it would seem Hyperkin doesnt make an aftermarket SNES controller I went with the next highest reviewed one on Amazon. And its good. All the buttons are responsive and feel nice, I like that you can choose between the colorful Super Famicom version or the less interesting US SNES purple buttons. Al in all a nice device. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the plastic of the body feels just a hair on the light side. Not cheap garbage or anything, but I am spoiled by the nice sturdy weight of my Hyperkin NES controller so it definitely feels a bit thin by comparison. Not an issue really unless you plan on twisting it in rage when you lose at Super Street Fighter 2 over and over to your neighbors jerk grandson. STOP SMIRKING DUSTIN! I DONT HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION TO NINTENDO POWER SO I DONT GET A CONVENIENT MOVE LIST TO MEMORIZE! Jerk..

Overall I like this controller. It feels good in the hand, the buttons are responsive, if only a little "clicky." It could also be that it is still pretty much new, and I haven't played it in yet. Comparing that to a worn in controller that is original to the system from 1991 might be unfair. The buttons have a little more resistance than my original controllers do, but the shoulders don't take hammering on them to get them to function like some clone/3rd party controllers do. I did not notice any lag as far as input goes. All in all I call it good for the money, and am likely to buy a couple more just because. A lot of folks like the Blue Tooth ones, and I don't blame them, I'm just a dinosaur.

Excellent SNES controllers! The start button on both my original SNES controllers stopped working, so I bought a pair of these. They are great! I actually think they are better than the original controllers. They are pretty much 100% identical except that the buttons are just a touch more "clicky". Which I really like. The original controllers buttons have a bit of a softer feel than these, but honestly it is such a tiny difference you may not even notice it. And it could be because these are just brand new and my original controllers are 27 years old. Awesome controller!

FINALLY! A controller that you know... actually works. The cord is long. 6ft I think. The buttons are firm with good resistance. The latency is nill. Control pad is built properly and not all flimsy like all the other ones I've bought. Played Zelda on my FC TWIN system, the original for NES and fighting the red and blue knights in the dungeons where precision from the controller needs to be spot on and it is with this. Was able to make tiny adjustments in movement. Love this thing. Premium indeed!I wish I bought this one first. Stop the guessing game and just buy this one. Controls both SNES and NES games for FC TWIN system so I'm sure it works for all the other ones as well but I've only used on the FC TWIN.

I personally prefer these over the original SNES controllers. These pads have nice clicky buttons that are responsive and just feel good. The cable is a perfect length where the originals fell short. Of course, they tend to be a little less sturdy. I bring games to middle schoolers, and these fit very snugly into the snes ports, which means one kid tried to force it the wrong way and it snapped. Just be careful with them.

The controller feels almost nice and very close to the original. The buttons have a good tactile feel although start/select is a bit harder to press than normal. Unfortunately the d-pad will easily register multiple inputs when trying to use one direction. This controller literally has no use for a Super Metroid Speedrunner like myself or anyone else who requires/wants precise directional inputs. However! Out of many cheap aftermarket SNES controllers (excluding Buffalo), this is the only decent one. Still not worth the money in my fair opinion.The Buffalo is the only GOOD alternative to an original controller. Sadly, the Buffalo/iBuffalo lacks true longevity.

Don’t let the information fool you. These plug into the machine very hard, almost so hard I don’t want to plug it in , in fear of damage. Also, the buttons are extremely stiff and blocky feeling, pretty much like one of those cheap USB Snes controllers do. This is a really poor design. Don’t bother.

My 2nd one. This was a replacement (first one had non-functioning feature). It started fine. Work well for 1+ months. Now it tends to oversteer to the left when I press right. Really annoying. Cannot recommend for serious gamers. I own cheap clone controllers that play better. Find something else.

I order 2 of these controllers for my Super Famicom Console as my old controllers died after 25 years of service RIP , but to my surprise I was unable to plug these controllers in my system for some odd reason these were extremely tight to fit I was unable to use these so I returned these.

I bought the CirKa S91 controller with the north american colors (purple buttons) and was immediatley blown away by the quality and overall feeling of it. I love it !!! Its Perfect !!!I then decided to purchase this second controller from CirKa (color buttons) and the quality difference is really remarkable. As mentioned on another post, this controller has an awful edge underneath the Start and Select buttons. The plastic also seems to be cheaper in quality. The buttons are not as nice feeling as the other controller and what really makes it bad for me is that the directional pad struggles to work correctly. Forget doing circular motions (such as an Adouken in Street Fighter), the directional pad doesnt respond as it should.I would recommend the CirKa north american colors controller over this one for sure.

Se siente bien, un poco más firme que los originales que es algo bueno, pedí dos y funcionan muy bien con el snes original, extrañamente uno no sirve con el retron 5 el otro al inicio no y después de usarse un tiempo ya funciona perfecto, el otro por mas intentos no funciona en el retron

El control tiene la misma calidad que uno original, casi no se nota la diferencia. Funciona al 100% con la consola original de SNES. El envío fue muy rápido aún siendo un pedido de importación. Si necesitas un control original para Snes sin duda esta es una excelente opción.
