Coosh 60W Rapid Car Charger for Mac Macbook Pro and Pro Air

I was a little wary of this category of products as it just seems crazy to charge a Macbook Pro off a cigarette lighter. However, I’ve been happy with with this charger and its results so far. The cars I have used it in are just fine, and so is my laptop. Nothing caught on fire or started smoking.It is slow to charge my MBP during use, but that is expected as MBPs prefer an 85W charger but work just fine with a 60W charger. This product handily achieves my need, which is allowing laptop use during lengthy car trips. (Unless you are doing extremely battery intensive activities like video games, this will likely charge your laptop faster than you drain it under normal usage, such as Web browsing or watching movies.)

It works as intended, but it gets a little hot.My major complaint is that the cable portion has a horrific flavor, like a bittering agent.Once I was carrying the cable and needed my hand free, so I grabbed the cable with my teeth. For HOURS afterward, the back of my throat had this nasty flavor like the inside of a latex glove.

I do not normally write reviews but for this product I had to! I wasn't to sure I would be happy when I click buy. The price seemed too good to be true. but I was impressed the moment I opened the package i was super empressed with the "Apple like" quality. So ran to the car to give it a go. I worked perfectly. It charges fast and the connect to my MacBook Air is perfect.

DO NOT BUY THIS! It will damage the battery in your MacBook!I have purchased this item a while back and though I might have immediate use for it. This was not the case and I have used it for the first time today. I am so upset b/c it has totally damaged my MacBook. I've just had installed brand new battery few weeks back and it was working perfect until today. After I have used this mickey mouse "Coosh Charger" that I should have never purchased my laptop is dead. It is not charging at all and status for the battery shows that it needs to be replaced right away. What a shame "Coosh" to sell something like this knowing that it is not working properly. I hope I can help others that are thinking to buy this crap. Just letting you know...DON'T if you like you MacBook and do not want to pay to purchase another battery like I have to do it now. It is not worth it.
