Yes, yes, yes. Do not hesitate.
This was the best purchase I have ever made. At least that is how I feel just a day after "installing" it into my parent's bed after my 86 year-old dad's hip replacement. It was impossible for him to get in or out of bed on his own after surgery, perhaps because his bed was so soft he couldn't push himself even up to a sitting position. On day 5, this bed cane arrived in the mail. We practiced using it, but Mom still had to swing his legs around for him. I was so scared that would be too hard on her own fragile hips. When I returned this morning, Dad was overjoyed because he had learned how to use his good leg, bent at the knee, and his elbows, as three good limbs to move himself close to the edge of the bed, then wrapping his closest arm under and around this rail he began to pull himself up, then he grabbed it with his further hand to help swing himself around. Of course, he again used his close arm to push against the rail as he began to stand. It was much less painful for him than when we were moving his legs for him.I might add that he used his good right foot to "grab" and move his operated leg to swing them onto the edge of the bed together. The design of this feels sturdy. The long part stretches under the mattress so far that there is no fear of it moving around. There are no legs, so it goes up and down well when dad moves his hospital-type bed. Of course, he makes the bed flat for both getting in and getting out. I looked at many models. His physical therapist recommended this one. I almost didn't get it because the advertisement picture makes it look very long- like a third of the bed in the middle, but then I read the measurements, and it is only 12" wide, and actually looks pretty cool.My mom gasped with joy when she saw it. She said she had often wished she had something like that to help her over the years with her own hip and knee replacements.Deepest thanks to the designers and manufacture.

Extra Support & Protection
Purchased two for each side of the bed for my elderly parents. Very easy to assemble and very sturdy. Since they have a platform bed with slats, I placed a piece of plywood under the mattress for more stability. Both of my parents are very happy with this purchase as it provides some extra support getting in and out of bed as well as protection from falling out of bed.

This is a game changer!!
I am in my early 70's and I am active, but I have arthritis. Over the past 10 years, I have had foot surgery, a total hip replacement, a total shoulder replacement and recently my back was fused in three places. A good friend of mine is a physical therapist and we were talking about adaptive things I would need to have. I had everything she mentioned except this amazing bed rail. I wish I'd had it for all my surgeries!!! It helps to do the "log roll" after back fusion surgery and it is key in helping me sit up, roll over, get in and out of bed, and re-adjust myself in bed. It is amazing.... don't think twice... get it! There was one other thing she mentioned that I didn't have, that was helpful as well. It is a wide low step stool. My bed is fairly high and this is what I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B35ZSLH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details It is important that it is not high (Mine was 4 inches and it was plenty high). It also needs to be large enough that you don't fall off the edge. This step is important... but the bed rail is absolutely key!!!

May not be wide enough
Initial Review September 16, 2021I have been falling out of bed once every couple of months. So far no harm but I needed to improve my situation so I wouldn't get hurt.I tried the recommended pool noodle solution but it wouldn't stay in place. I'm not sure that would help anyway.I looked at the wide range of bed rails that are available. Frankly there were a few that I might have chosen but I carefully measured the distance from the floor to the top of the box spring and quite a few of the bed rails wouldn't fit. I suggest if you are shopping for one that you too carefully measure yours.I also measured the thickness of our mattress and once again that eliminated so many other bed rails. Finally this OasisSpace Bed Rail met my needs.Putting it together was simple. Installing it was simple. I slept with it installed last night and it was fine, it even provided a nice place to grip as I got out of bed.Today I tried moving it a few inches one way or the other. It seemed the best position was somewhere near to my beltline. But it occurred to me that if my feet left the bed first and I was sliding off the bed my face might hit the bed rail - not good. If I move it lower toward my thighs and then fall out of bed shoulders first my legs might get trapped by the bed rail.So after all the searching and measuring it appears that I might need to buy a second one and install them a few inches apart. The one thing I don't know how to deal with is the top sheet, comforter, and bed cover can't be put in place to have the bed look nice. I tried pulling the bed rail out leaving a few inches between it and the mattress. However that doesn't fully provide a space for all of the bed coverings. Also I don't think having that gap between the bed rail and the mattress serves the purpose properly.None of this is a critique of this particular product. Almost any bed rail of the same width would have the same problem.I do like the product and need very much to solve my problem. I do believe I'll order a second one.

Sturdy product and excellent customer service.
This rail performs exactly as expected. Sturdy, highly adjustable and the long reach of the foundation tubing keeps it from sliding around. Looks attractive too.Very satisfied with the product and especially the hassle-free customer support. We had a problem with a locking clip and they were very responsive to getting me a replacement in just a couple of days. I would buy from this seller again.
