the hydroponic system is so easy to assemble and conserves water and no soil required
Easy to assemble and follow well written instructions. Once the liquid nutrients and 3 gallons of water are mixed in, be sure to check the ph of the mixtures and the plants. Wrong ph will not let the seeds germinate, much like the human body in shock acidosis not respond to sympathetic amines (adrenaline-like drugs) to restore circulation. The 3 gallons mixture flows into all 3 basins, so the plants must all be acid (ph < 7.0) or all alkaline (ph>7.0) at the same time. pH meters must be liquid based, not soil based. Very happy with it as the roots are constantly in nutrient liquids and not have to spend energy to search for nutrients, no soil pests and water conserve.

Alleged missing reservoir trays, busted pump in less than a week too bad had such high hopes
Pump wore out in less than a week. Seller says 'how do I know pump is broken'? I took the filter off the hose, put my finger at end of tubing with power on, no water flow. If that pump is so quiet, yet no flow, it doesn't work/faulty design, everything's connected. Seller sent photos showing green tray insert between basin and lid - I never received any green reservoir intermediate tray (missing 3) apparently, and the original instructions list parts and photos - no green reservoir trays. So either I have an older, outdated model without green trays, or my shipment is missing those intermediate trays or the instructions are wrong or...? Have my own pump on order elsewhere. Too bad as the little unit is sorta slick, just poor electronics quality. Broccoli and lettuce sprouting in less than 5 days. So downgrading to 1 star rating. 1 for the design 2 for the quick sprouts and no more stars for the busted pump.

Many small parts with hardly any instructions
This is a hydroponics set up for growing trellised plants. In the box, you get 3 basins that measure 11.5”x4.5”x5”. When connected, the set up is 39” long by 5” tall, plus the height of the trellises. In one basin is a pump. The basins are connected by special pipe connectors which allow water to flow freely from basin to basin. The connectors also have a length of tubing between them which provides direct flow back to the pump. At the top of each basin are a set of 3 growing containers, each with 4 holes, so you could grow as many as 36 plants with this set up. The growing containers each contain vermiculite ready for planting. Also included with the kit are a floating water level indicator, an AC water supply, a solar water supply, and a bazillion pieces for trellises.I am excited by the potential of this hydroponic setup. But I was very overwhelmed by the number of pieces when I opened the box. Fortunately, the trellis pieces, of which there are nearly a bazillion, come in sets in separate bags. Still, even with the trellises, set aside, there is a lot to assemble in this kit, and the instructions are far from clear or complete. It took me nearly an hour to set up the kit, a lot longer than necessary if there had only been some proper instructions. In the end, I was left holding 2 O-rings, with no idea where they are intended to fit since they aren’t mentioned in the instructions. Another issue was that one of the basins had quite a bit of brown saw dust on it when I unpacked it, which was hard to get out. My kit also included an extra pump. Handy, but not encouraging. Keep in mind that the kit does not include growing solution or seeds. It would have been nice to include a booklet or at least a link to some tips about what you will need for supplies, like fertilizer. Overall, this kit has a lot of potential, but it is challenging to set up due to limited instructions.

Leaks were a problem
I like the idea, but very cumbersome to handle. Once it’s filled, it is nonmoveable. 3 tanks are connected together with water moving from one to the other. If you try to move it, it’s easy for the piping to loosen enough for water to come out. It is extremely difficult to get the units sealed tightly enough, so it doesn’t leak. I fight this battle constantly. Although there are 3 pots in each reservoir, there is not enough space for roots for 3 full grown plants. Also, if you plant in all 3 there is no way to add water. I will not be replanting this system.

Excellent so far
Easy to setup there is a video within the top section explaining, small quiet pump included. I added an LED growing light and the tomatoes are growing fast crazy on this thing, as far as I can tell all/most seeds germinated.

I've returned one already...
I like the concept. Problem #1 is the motor that cycles the water through the other two sections, it stops working. Since this isn't, or wasn't when I ordered it, sold through Amazon they could only send me a replacement unit for the first one. I already had plants after a week so this was a bigger headache than I expected. Problem #2 related to #1 since the water isn't cycling, it's stagnant and growing crap. You don't realize how big a problem this is until you try to clean/empty the water with plants still growing. Good luck with water not going everywhere. And tried this after a good month and a half, next to impossible without damaging the plants, leaves, etc.

This product is defective; pumps failed.
The media could not be loaded. I liked the design of this unit but it did not function as advertised. The 2 pumps that came with the unit failed within a day. The company sent replacement pumps and I tried 1 and it failed in a day as well. Without a working pump I can not use the solar panel or operate this system so I returned the unit to Amazon. I did correspond directly with the company over a period of a couple weeks. I sent them video, emails and pictures. The company said they are not selling the product on Amazon anymore and were sorry.
