Awesome replacement, for a great price!
I ordered these (2x) TWO SNES Controller Pads for my RETRON 3 and they just came in. Havent had a chance to test them out yet on the console, but I will edit this review once I do. I also havent gotten my hands on an original SNES controller, so I cant vouch for how close it is to the original, but I do know that its lighter then the original, due to new technology making it lighter and require less components. All the buttons and the D-Pad feel really nice, and you can tell, this thing isnt cheaply built. It feels sturdy and the buttons feel nice. The cord length is 5-7 feet long, its hard to tell as I only have a 3 foot long tape measure and only enough hands to hold the tape measure stretched out, and I cant hold the wire taught to see. The length for me is fine, but some of you out there might have to sit on the floor in front of your TV. I bought my controllers from the seller "FINEST PLAY" and they arrived quickly without any problems. These controllers are sturdily built, and are definiteley better then some of the other 3rd party controllers out there (i.e. the 3rd party "Innovations Sega Genesis controller"). Basically what I want to get out there, is these arent some flimsy poorly constructed controllers. They are high quality, well built 3rd party controllers, which make a suitable replacement for broken controllers, for a fraction of the price, and are also the only controllers you can find available in "NEW" condition for the SNES.

Works just fine for me.
I still have the original controller that came with my SNES, but some of the rubber supports on the insides have ripped. So although the buttons still work, they are flat and not springy. I have the capcom controllers that have all six buttons on one dash panel, but that makes playing anything where you would normally have to use the L and R triggers repetitively almost impossible, like Star Fox for example. I had gotten "Super Pads" back when the SNES was still in stores but found that they broke very quickly. So I was hesitant to get generic controllers but tried these out. They work perfectly fine. Some people have stated that they only get one controller per order but I got two as advertised. The buttons are not colored like the picture however, they are the original SNES colors instead (arguably better anyway). The only criticism that I would have is that the edges on the A, B, X, and Y buttons are not rounded. So although they wont cut your finger or anything, they can be a little uncomfortable at times. I used one to play all the way through Mario RPG and it never broke on me or anything.

they are a good deal. The select and start buttons are rubberised
These controllers are not anywhere near the quality and feel of the originals. However, for what you pay for them, they are a good deal. The select and start buttons are rubberised, so they have the look and feel of the originals. But, that is where the similarities end. The d-pad and the buttons look good, but have an odd feel to them. The controls just don't have the same responsiveness as the originals. On the set I received, the d-pads on both controllers had very little response on the down direction. I had to really press hard to get an acceptable response. To remedy this, I took the controllers apart and put a cut out piece of cardboard backer from a legal pad behind the pcb. This helped tremendously. Before doing this, the back of the control pad did not seem to put enough pressure on the pcb to hold it firmly against the buttons. For serious gaming, I would purchase a pair of the original controllers. However, for casual gaming or to replace missing controllers, these controllers are quite acceptable...especially given their price.

Great Bargin
I've had these for several months and they have worked great. They are completely the same in layout and design as the original snes controllers and have functioned without lag or problems since I've had them. My only complaint and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that they are much lighter and don't feel as substantial in the hands as the original. This is not a super big deal and you get used to the weight quickly, I just wish they would "bulk" up the inside or something so that they felt more like the originals in weight. I'm happy with the purchase and have no regrets - assuming they hold up for a while. If they stopped working within a few months, I'd be disappointed, but I don't foresee that happening at all. If you are looking to save some money and need replacements, these will do you just fine!

They’ll do
These will hold you over while you hunt down real controllers. They are very light which isn’t inherently bad but just something I noticed. The buttons feel fine to play with and everything seems to work and feel pretty normal. The main issues are that the plug end is a bit miscast or something and is a pretty tight fit in the console but it does go in; second, the cord is much shorter than the factory controller which makes it very unpleasant to play from the couch for my setup.

Decent copies of the original, a bit stiffer, but great for the price!
These work as expected and are pretty good for such a low price. If you're looking for something as responsive as the original SNES controllers, these feel a bit clunky and the buttons aren't as sensitive/easy to push (I felt worse at DKC2 than I remember). The plastic feels more rough matte than smooth like the original, and the cord is much stiffer. These are basically what I would expect of a generic copy, but they get 4 stars for being so cheap, and they look almost identical to the originals - I would probably have been just as happy paying $12-15. I still have one original controller in great condition, so the guests can use these ones (heheh..)

A complete scam
I know that it's a generic control but I thought it may last a month at least but not 10 minutes, I got 2 controls and I was playing and after 15 minutes there was no response from the movement pad

They don't work properly
I bought the controls for my old SNES, same size and even colors as the original, but the buttons don't work and the directional pads don't work either, games like MK, When moving forward or backward, the character jumps. Something important, the cable is not long as in the original controls.

You get what you pay for
Fairly junk controllers I wanted for parts. I did give them a quick spin on the old snes before taking them to the chopping block and they were as expected. Mushy and sometimes unresponsive. and a side note after ripping them to pieces I found the 6ft wire was very cheap and could easily foresee a short in the cable after some use but you get what you pay for. In my case they were perfect but not the reason why people buy this product.

Sweet buy
They are two basic Snes controllers. The only real differences you will find with these controller's VS Real Snes Controllers is as followed. Higher Buttons, No Logo, High quality Nipples that give a nice click sound when you press the buttons. Iv had the controllers for some time now and they still work fine. I even stepped on one getting out of bed and it didt brake. So if you need new Controllers for your SNES get these ones.
