Excellent for Bolt Guns or Other Barrels
I used this for a Remington 700 308 barrel so take off a muzzle device that was rocksetted on. These grips hold the barrel tight and allow you to get the torque needed to work on the barrel. Recommended. After reading reviews of lesser priced soft vise jaws and went with these even though they are a little more expensive. However, in my opinion, these are worth the cost and work well.

Pads for my gun vise
There are a lot vise pads/ jaws on Amazon that are significantly less. They seem to have negative reviews. I decided to order quality and pay a little more. Glad I did. If you have guns you want protect, this is the product. It looks like these pads will last a lifetime. The magnets do a good job holding the pads in place.

Won't hold barrel
WILL NOT hold barrel for Muzzle device removal- Bought this to remove factory muzzle device with crush washer, no threadlock of any kind, not pinned etc. Mind you , it was tight but not beyond 40ft-lbs. Barrel just rolled in jaws. Recommend making wooden ones. Cheap, and they work. Jaws are handy for holding things steady but that's all.

Makes life easier
Extremely useful so far. Been able to securely hold my AK and several handguns without any sort of marring or damage. Much better than improvised vise blocks.

Complete disappointment.
The magnet on these make these jaws complete hot garbage. I got fed up with them and tossed right in the trash. You would be better off with the cheap Chinese ones. Keep it up US, your making it easier for me to stop buying products from the states.

Rifle barrel slipped.
I purchased these to clamp a rifle barrel to remove a suppressor mount. The barrel slipped regardless of how tight I clamped the vice. I even tried with leather and some other materials with no luck. I might be missing something, but they did not work for my application.

The magnets are a bit weak but the Jaws work great, the slots hold hold the piece you are working on firmly in place.
