Doc's Rabbit Enhancer

as a house rabbit advocate and educator, i've ben using doc's for many years. i'm not affiliated with any particular shelter or organization, but i have an excellent exotics vet (FYI, rabbits need eiher a vet that specializes in rabbits or "exotics"). i don't submit my rabbits to the cruelty or humiliation of shows or forced breeding, all are spayed/neutered, have lived long, healthy, fun-filled lives, and in the last 5 or 6 years i have only taken in "broken" bunnies, those who have either physical or behavioral problems which would make most people give up on them. AND, i have been doing this for almost 15 years. sorry about the resume, but i wanted to back up my endorsement of this product (Doc's Rabbit Enhancer). first, i cleared the ingredient list with my vet. second, my guys diets consist only of timothy hay, TIMMY pellets, carrot GREENS, ( and other specific dark leafy greens). in healthier days, each got 2 (the dwarfs) to 4 (the californians) cheerios and a tablespoon of DOC'S for "breakfast" (okay, they also got a bite of dried, natural papaya -NO SUGAR- and a teaspoon or less of old fashioned oats, plus extra greens). over the years, their tastes wax and wane, but they have ALL loved their doc's. they let us know if we forget, and by golly, if we don't get out of the way soon enough, we've been in danger of losing digits. it contains ingredients the buns love, and it's heathy for their gut flora. even as we've had to cut out many of their "treats" due to age, developing sensitivities, or even a little TOO much gut flora and a lack of balance on their part (hard to get to the all-important cecotropes when missing a leg), and the docs provides some of the things they may miss now, while still providing a treat. SOME of them may show coat improvement (there is another product called "show bloom" but i can't recomment or comment on it other than mine won't touch it) that may improve coat condition temporarily, but almost all domestic rabbits MOULT, and NEED to do so. most consent to brushing, although around here, each one has a particular favorite. if they won't sit still for this, make a habit of using a lightly dampened paper towel (in warm climes, a cool towel is also a nice cooling aid), with each cuddle time.basically, bunny friends, this is a very good product, once you realize it IS helpful, it's a safe, tasty "treat", and when it comes to their coats, nature just has to take it's course.check with your vet first, and always be careful to introduce new(or remove old familiar) foods slowly.please don't think i'm a know-it-all smart aleck. each rabbit and owner is different. i have had to learn through some humbling ,often hilarious, and very painful mistakes. i'm very passionate about my bunnies, and tend to over-pontificate (no, Bunny, surely not YOU!), lol. enjoy the love and companionship your little four (or 3!) legged furry people give you, and love them back in turn.doc's is a good product, and i'm thrilled amazon now carries it! remember, the best food is plenty of timmy hay, at will, along with exercise and loving human and furry friends!!*off soapbox*

Our last little bunny, Emma lived more than 12 years, I'm sure because we put a scoop of Doc's Rabbit Enhancer on her pellets every morning. Our vet was impressed with her continually good health. I recommend this product to anyone who wants healthy rabbits!

I wish I had read other reviews first regarding no seal on container as I was concerned as well that there was nothing under the lid, no plastic or styrofoam seal or any notches indicating it hadnt been opened before my using it. I do like the ingredients in the product but probably wont purchase it again. Ill update if I see any improvement

My bunnies love, have used since the 80s for my first house rabbit and he lived for over 14 years. But I also fed him healthy foods, greens and a variety of foods.

critters liked it. didn't notice a huge difference in condition and our does did not produce as expected from the testimonials. Won't be investing in it again.
