Great if you want to develop your fore arms.
I love this grinder but it takes FOREVER to actually grind a pot of french press for two people. IF you want to grind small batches of spices this thing is great, but if you drink a lot of coffee (say 2-3 big cups a day) like I do then you need an automatic burr grinder. I broke mine and though I love this grinder it is a workout whenever I want to make a cup of coffee. Also since you can't lock the crank onto the grinding shaft the handle often comes off when you stop grinding.

Feels a bit cheap, Grinds great, Great Value!
Bought this for a friend who has been very happy. The build quality feels a bit cheap on the stainless but the ceramic burr apparatus is very good. Grinding by hand isnt too much work and is actually sort of fun if you are the kinestetic type. Its a great value, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a good grind for less than $50!

It takes FOREVER to grind enough coffee for one pot ...
It takes FOREVER to grind enough coffee for one pot and, unless you are careful, the bottom falls off while you are grinding the coffee, spilling it all over. And because it takes SO long to grind it, you desperately have to scrape it off the floor and use it anyway!!! The top handle also just comes off so you have to grind it carefully so that doesn't happen. Puzzled why there are so many 5 star reviews!

Coffee bean grinder
I wanted to find a small and light grinder for travel. This grinder does grind, but toooo slow for me. I went back to my electric Burr grinder. It's Also hard to adjust grind settings size for various types of coffee(filter, press pot etc

It works as advertised, I'm happy
Getting a lot of am strength , but when you just want to grind a small amount it works great. It you plan on grinding for a whole pot get an electric one.

Perfect for my needs!
Simple to use, and provides consistent grinds that are perfect to use with my Aeropress. I had a pricey electric burr grinder several years ago which may have been a tad more versatile in terms of grind size, but it was a pain to clean. I couldn't be happier with this grinder!
