Sadly, not ballast compatible
This brand of bulbs generally are not ballast compatible. Of the 5 ballasted fixtures I put them in only 2 of the 5 illuminated, and then, not all the time. I had to remove all the ballasts to get them all lighted. Once that was done they are fine. But why pay extra for ballast compatible when they are not?

Very bright, smaller, and longer lasting - not identical electrically to existing bulbs
I received these LED bulbs 4' replacement for fluorescent tubes specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.(Please see the enclosed pictures.)The bulbs arrived very well packaged, both padded and with extras - like protection for the connection prongs. As you can see from the pictures, I immediately headed to the basement to replace a bulb in my trusty fixture. The bulbs are a good bit smaller diameter than the fluorescent bulbs you are replacing. The first thing to note is that you have to be careful in mounting them. With the large florescent bulbs, there was only one way the prongs would go in, and then, you twisted, and that was it.These smaller diameter bulbs will fit in a variety of (mostly) wrong ways if you are not careful. After turning off the light, I very carefully hand guided in both sides to get the bulb to seat.Wow! The light was much, much brighter than its fluorescent counterpart. Then, I went to replace the other fluorescent bulb, and once I did, the fixture stopped shining. The diameter of the bulb is not the only difference. The LED bulb has different electrical properties, e.g, resistance, capacitance, etc. (If you're not an electrical type person then don't get hung up on the techie terms. Just know that you will have to proceed carefully when you replace your old bulbs.)Odd. I took out the new LED bulb and put in a new, but still fluorescent bulb, and the fixture came back on.I am assuming this has something to do with the impedance of the bulbs and the capacity of the ballast, but either way, you will likely have my same experience if you are looking to replace your old bulbs. The bulbs are very bright, and being LED, they will no doubt last a long time.Just a word from the wise to the wise, be methodical if replacing the old, florescent bulbs in existing fixtures. You will likely only want to replace one side initially and see how it goes.

Great LED Replacement Bulbs - 😉👍
I have a wood shop, basement, and a couple garages with many 4' fluorescent lamps I am trying to slowly convert over to LED tubes. When I seen these Focuslux LED bulbs listed, I immediately ordered them. They arrived well packed in a large cardboard box with three smaller boxes each with 4 bulbs inside. Each box contains warranty information (8 years), installation information and a list of ballasts that the bulbs will work with.I have been taking down each fixture, removing the ballast, installing a pull chain switch and installing the LED tubes. You merely need supply AC power to one pin on each tombstone and neutral to one pin on each tombstone at the other end. Connect the wires with a couple of wire nuts and you are done. After performing 32 of these, I have gotten rather proficient at it. The conversion process is really easy, even if you are not an electrician. If you are in doubt, do a search for a video that shows the process. I had 3 fluorescent lights with solid state ballast built into the end caps. I decided to try replacing just the tubes. As I had the fixtures on the bench, I replaced the tubes and plugged the light in. I had no problem with any of the 3 lights. Your result may vary. These LED tubes come in various brightness (K) ratings; 4,000K; 5,000K; and even 6,000K. If you are replacing bulbs inside your home, I would recommend the 4,000K. If you are replacing bulbs in your basement, I would recommend the 4,000K if it is a finished area. If it is for a basement workshop area, go with the 5,000K. If you want really bright white light, go with the 6,000K. You will be able to perform surgery with them. I have to say that once you go with LED lights in place of the fluorescent, you will never ever want to go back to fluorescent again. The only minor negative (personal preference) I can come up with is: A couple of the LED tubes I have used thus far have a frosted white plastic covering. When those tubes are lit, they give the appearance of a normal lit fluorescent tube, but so much brighter. These Foculux have a clear covering that exposes the LED's inside. When they are lit, you see each and every LED. They appear as bright white dots when looking up at the tube. As one person suggested, you can install the tubes with the lit side up facing the deflector, but then you will be cutting down on the output a slight bit. I have not removed any Stars for this as it is more of a personal preference. I give these LED bulbs by Focuslux 5 Stars. I hope this review helps someone in their buying decision. Thanks! - 😊👍
