I’ve used several different clay bar kits over the years, and this is the only one I buy now. I’ve been clay barring my cars for years, and when done properly, it makes a massive difference in your paint. If you clay bar twice a year and follow up with a ceramic wax or coating, it does wonders for maintaining your finish. I live in the Desert Southwest where the sun is extremely hard on cars. I clay bar twice a year and apply a ceramic coating 3–4 times per year to keep the paint protected and smooth. This kit is easy to use and comes with everything you need. My process is simple: wash and dry the car first, then clay using plenty of lubricant. I work in straight lines, section by section. I don’t chase perfection in one pass — I prefer consistent maintenance over time. Clay doesn’t polish your paint; it preps it. Once the surface is smooth, I follow immediately with wax or ceramic protection. Clay barring is not a step to skip if you care about your paint. I would say the size it equal to a small bar of soap with decent thickness. I cut one in half and it did way more than I expected. 3 bars should be good for an average size car. It was an easy process, the key is to keep the area wet and work small areas at a time. Good value for the money, streak-free and scratch-resistant. The detailer solution afterwards give it a great shine! I was very pleased with the results. I trust Meguiar's products and this one didn't let me down.

First time using a clay bar, and I’m impressed. While typically used on paint, I used it to clean my windshield, as well as the glass panels of my shower doors. The results are impressive. The glass is clearer and water runs off much easier. And in the case of the windshield, the wipers just glide along with no chatter.

Not only does it do a superb job, it is quite easy to do a whole car in a very short time. I've been able to do my full size pickup twice with this product so it does go a long way. I've never used a clay bar before but thought I'd give it a try on a used car I bought. The paint wasn't rough feeling but I wanted to try it anyway. It worked pretty good and I could feel the difference after I went over it. Once I get better at using it I think I'll have even better results. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get that smooth feeling after a wash and wax.
