Don't give up a good thing for a one night stand.
I'm an idiot. I gave up "2 in the hand for one in the bush." I had the 118 model that didn't have wifi and that thing was awesome putting out over 100 percent at times. I filled it outting out 482 watts and my panel is only 475, and I think 480 is supposed to be it's max anyway. And then 8nsaw the model with wifi and had to have something I've used 3 times since I've had it. And this thing is alright but it's output is nowhere near the model without WiFi. Thats not that bad because it still does a pretty good job at it's output. The biggest negative I see in this model is that no matter howany times I calibrate it half an hour later sometimes it's a while day later it has the batteries voltages wrong. It's almost like it's picking up the voltage from the solar panels as well as the batteries. It's always wrong so then it doesn't charge them properly. And if I calibrate it then half an hour later it somehow knows how much it was over reading the volts makes a correction and them it's undervalued exactly by how much I adjusted earlier. Moral of my mistake is stick with what you got if it's working out great for you. Don't trade it in for a flash in the pan. That goes for solar controlers as well as your women or men. Lol

Pretty good on this price,
I have installed it with two panasonic 340W module. For the back-up power on my AC coupling system. The module Voc is 141~142V and it is matched with datasheet. The mppt voltage on this charger are running at 130-132V under full sun.And 125-130V under partial shadow. The optimum voltage should be 110-120V, but, never track the correct voltage.Around 10-20% lower power harvesting loss.Charging power efficiency has measured 90-95%Total loss 15~30% power from Solar Panel to Battery.I am not sure it is just a problem in my purchased device orIt is an issue of this model, maybe, I need an answer.MPPT accuracy is the most feature of MPPT charger.Operation with Wifi software is working well. But, battery voltage have to be calibrated in device. And, the series number of Lithium chemistry is not clear. i have tried to set Lithium 16s or 4s.It showing voltage error because calculated base on 12V system even I have 48V.Working well with Pb / 4S configuration. But float/bulk voltage should be same. There is no issue yet, and need to keep running longer. And, may need to update this review again.I just want to say, pretty impressive and good product. But, Not best. Just good price and good product.

Best value MPPT charge controller
This is a real MPPT charge controller. There are some other PWM controllers that are marked as MPPT, but aren't really and then there are much more expensive controllers from MorningStar and Outback, but they seem to cost over $500 for the same functionality with more features in some cases. If you're just getting started with solar, this is what you want to buy. Make sure that it is from MakeSkyBlue directly since there are also some fake charge controllers out there or clones that don't have updated firmware. The WiFi option allows for a faster setup, but doesn't offer much more than that. It doesn't connect to your home network, it just connects to your phone for easy initial configuration and there are some things that aren't really that configurable. I like that the WiFi setup seems to stick whereas the ones without WiFi needed to be power cycled on order to function correctly. Overall these are a great option if you're on a strict budget or you're generally on the frugal side.

Can't change settings through Wifi app... Battery side voltage is off by 2.1v.
The battery side voltage measurement is off by 2.1v. when the battery voltage is 39, mppt controller is showing 41.1v. hence the controller stops charging 2.1v before the max set voltage of the battery... So I want to charge my 10s lithium ion battery to 42v but it stops at 39.9v because it thinks that the battery has reached 42v.Also setting the parameters from the wifi app does not take effect on the controller. The app says the parameters were successfully set but it shows the old parameters again.

Wished I can give this minus 5 stars
"Upgraded" from a 20A Rich Solar controller to MSB 60A. Tried it for a day and wished I didn't.Temp for 200-300W +40C. Noisy fan turns on at 45C too often.App must connect to controller's dedicated wifi, but then phone won't have internet access.Controller's Wifi too short range to monitor from a remote room. Not better than BlueToothApp in alpha stage: no battery charge %, and many other parameters. Can't read controller's parms. Finally, I hooked up the 12V output to my Tivo it fried it. Luckily I was at home, otherwise it would have burned my house down.

the unit not showing amperage, not showing wattage not showing energy
i bought this to see the voltage of the PVs the voltage of the batteries the current of the charge, the wattage of the charge, the daily value of the energy. The unit is defective and not showing the amperage current, not showing the wattage power, not showing the daily value of energy. contacted the representatives and the solution was this: "PV voltage too low, please increase the voltage". so this is going on: the internal shunt is not monitored by the unit and naturally amperage not displayed on the display not showing on the android app, naturally the wattage is not calculated and shows as 2-8 watts while my 100 amp clamp amperemeter is showing 40-45 amps going in the battery bank, in other words it is charging, it is keeping the battery bank replenished, BUT for the money i have payed for this unit i should see the current the wattage and the energy for the day which i don't. So here it is: NO support from the vendor, wasted money on defective unit, the explanation was to increase the PV voltage...so i can see the amperage?! you decide for your self, do you want to deal with not so bright people or you want to get a better device for your self!
