The book is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. However, when my husband picked it up and began looking at it, we found that someone had written in the book. It had briefly been used as someone's journal.

Though the description says "leatherlook journal", I think it's real leather - it certainly feels and looks like leather. At 5-3/4" x 8" x 1/2" and weighing in at ~11 ounces it is small enough to slip into a purse or backpack so that it's always available for random jottings. I carry a journal whenever I'm travelling to record the myriad of experiences that would fade from memory too quickly if not recorded daily.The cream colored lined pages with rounded corners are made of a sturdy paper so that the ink doesn't bleed through, and the stitched binding allows the pages to lay flat. A ribbon bookmark allows you to quickly find your place. The contrasting stitched edges on cover provide an elegant touch. I like the look and feel of this little journal, and fresh copies will certainly accompany on future trips.

The pages of a piccadilly journal can't be beat. They are creamy, heavy, and even the wettest of my gel pens or fountain pens don't leak through. I feel joyous every time I open my journal to write on their exquisite pages.This comes from someone who is a bit of a journal collector. I've tried several brands, but this is by far the best I've found!
