The Art of Fine Enameling

I like the format of the book. Various techniques are demonstrated by artists who are specialists in that method. Nice pictures of those examples. When you begin enameling it's a bit overwhelming with all the different techniques to try and what each enamel does in each situation. This book helps to explain some of that confusion. I find it very helpful. I must like it as I bought it twice. Couldn't find my 1st copy. I think it's living somewhere with MY 1st copy of Linda Darty's book.

This is the best enamel book available. It covers everything you need to know and is very up to date.

Too bad this book is out of print. I bought this one used and it's a great book on enameling. I keep it close at hand and often refer back to it. It has a lot of great photos of work by artists doing a broad range of enamel work.

This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen! Paging through it is like walking through an Art Museum... with how-to articles. Well worth the price for inspiration alone.

This is a must have for enameling artists; you are lucky if you have this out of print book in your arsenal. The overview of techniques is wonderful. The individual artists' and there work are inspiring. The projects are so easy to understand - thanks to the artists and the author. Thank you to Karen Cohen for dedicating her love of this art form in publishing such a treasure.

The Art of Fine Enameling is not just for practicing enamelists, it is for the collector and art lover, too, as the book includes so many beautiful photos and easy to read descriptions of the major enamleing techniques. As a how-to book, it is for both the beginner and the more skilled enamelist and works well as a text book because of it's easy to read desciptions and it's comprehensive troubleshooting section.You can read more about the book at [...]which lists the Table of Contents, shows you each of the project pieces, includes some additions to the book like a list of photo references of each artist's plate in the book and more.

Beautiful book with tons of information and gorgeous photos. I've been enameling for years, but find this very helpful. Good book both for beginners and advanced enamelers as well.

A really excellent book both in its production and content.. Delivery from this seller was timely and courteous and the condition was close enough to description. My only caveat was the high price for a remaindered library book but this may reflect supply and demand (whomesoever has the supply commands the price). I would like to have seen it at a more realistic cost, however I have no regrets about ownership and it is a credit to its author. Buy it if you can both find it and afford it.
