Moonrise Kingdom (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

This is an amazing master of a really fantastic film. The Criterion Collection really went pretty far out there, as always, to make sure the film was presented at the very best it can be. If you're reading this review, you are already aware that Wes Anderson is one of the greatest directors of our generation. He worked with Criterion to master, and provide the supplemental materials for this film. The included paper items are stunning and awesome as well. The supplements include an issue of "Indian Corn" Magazine, as well as the map of the island in which the film is set. The story will intrigue you. You will laugh, you will feel sad, and you will think about your own while you watch this film. Bill Murray, Ed Norton, and Bruce willis all turn in fantastic performances here.

If you're a Wes Anderson fan, you know you can't go wrong with anything the guy puts out there. This one is no different - fun, quirky, and heartful. Most impressive are probably the performances from all the child actors. That's a hard sell in a lot of movies, but they really did great here. The special edition Blu Ray also comes with a ton of cool extras, which I haven't full explored but certainly love to see. This is a good one to have in the collection!

I'm weird, this is my favorite (and first) Wes Anderson film. It's very charming and weird but also perhaps his most accessible work (this or The Grand Budapest Hotel). Even my girlfriend loves this one. If you're new to Wes Anderson, this IMO should be your starting point. However I am disappointed by the special features. I'm a huge fan of commentaries, but this was NOT for me. It was just weird and not informative

Wes Anderson's films are thought-provoking and compelling. Characters are so rich with life that it's hard to believe it is a movie and not a part of your life.

This is a well acted, coming of age, extremely pleasant, and often visually very funny movie.Deep story telling it is not, spectacular effects it does not have, but what it does have are all the ingredients for a very nice movie watching experience.

One of my favorite movies! Glad I finally own the Blu-ray. Love The Criterion Collection! The attention to detail for just a Blu-ray cover is amazing and when you open the case theres even more beautiful details like the camp scout booklet with a short stories. Also comes with a map of “Moonrise Kingdon”. If your a huge fan of this movie like me, this is a must buy.

Corners of the outer box were bent up upon delivery, but other than that, quality stuff!

I've watched this movie too many times to count. One of my favorites.
