Fun for all
My kids received this game as a gift 2 years ago and then purchased it for their cousin and another friend as gifts. They have played it with older siblings, friends and even grandparents! The colorful playing board and familiar characters accompany a well explained instruction book. It is easy to understand, and they and their friends never seem to tire of playing with it. Definitely a good investment. The age range is also accurate of 6 and up. I rated it for educational because it makes kids strategize on whether it is better to send an opponent back or advance themselves on various moves and how to be a good sport...sometimes the unexpected player wins by chance.

Great game & very enjoyable
So sad that they discontinued producing this. We play it every week, and are on our third game, having worn out the cards and board on two previous sets. Can now only obtain used copies. It is a fun game for all the family.

Missing a piece
The condition was “fair” although advertised as good but I suppose that is subjective. How we, it was missing a player piece. We are in 2022 so it wasn’t difficult for me to fabricate one with a color printer, poster board, scissors & glue. Not sure how many cards there should be but looks like they have all of just missing up to 2. I would’ve bought new but there were no options. I will be keeping for my son but not the best purchase I’ve ever made.

receipient loved it
I bought this game as a bday gift for a friends daughters who turned 7 and 9. The 9 year old liked for a day and moved on. But the 7 year old is totally in love with it and 2 months later still asks her parents to play it with her.

Not for 6 year olds
Box says for 6 and over but it's way too complicated and involves alot of reading. Get TROUBLE instead for younger kids. For anyone over 8, this will be lots of fun.

is one of my all time favorite games. I played the Sponge Bob version at ...
Sorry, the original version, is one of my all time favorite games. I played the Sponge Bob version at my brother's house and didn't enjoy it. The board is very cluttered. The pawns are cardboard and slide into plastic holders. I found that they block the view of the square behind them where the original translucent pawns do not. Some of the cards have"extra/bonus" rules that the original do not. This is just my opinion but I recommend sticking with the original ... plus the original is much less expensive.

Original "Sorry" is much better
This game uses cardboard characters in plastic bases as the pawns. A couple of the cardboard characters kept coming loose from their bases. Instead of dice, there's a deck of cards with complicated instructions, which would be good for strong readers but was way too hard for my autistic sister-in-law (developmentally around age 7 or 8), who otherwise loves board games. For instance, one of the "5" cards shows Squidward in front of a tombstone that says "Here Lies Squidward's Hopes and Dreams" (which is grammatically incorrect, but who's counting?) Above it is the caption, "Why must every 11 minutes of my life be filled with misery?" This is pretty amusing. However, the instructions below say, "Move forward 5. If you're the BLUE player, move your pawn ahead of any GREEN or YELLOW pawn or move forward 5." There are cards to split moves, move backwards, change places with other characters -- all of which require a higher reading and comprehension level than your standard Spongebob viewer. We ignored the fancy instructions and used the cards like dice. It was OK, but we all agreed that original Sorry! is better. Two stars for amusing sentiments and lively graphics.
