This is an exact replica of the famous Westinghouse Junior Coke Machine that was so popular in the "Mom and Pop" stores of the 1930s and 40s. This self-serve cooler will be quite a conversation piece at your home or office! The original machine was used where a clerk was present to collect the money, which makes it ideal for home use. It enjoys an all-metal construction with embossing on all sides and under the lid, like the original. There is no bottle mechanism or coin mechanism to get in the way of any use. Don't miss the bottle opener detail on the outside, either. Vendo Corporation later purchased this machine from Westinghouse and fitted it with coin-operated top so bottle Cokes could be vended from it. This original machine was made entirely for Coca-Cola, and no other brands were used. One of the attractions of this machine is its beautiful embossing. The cooler has the Coca-Cola logo on all four sides as well as under the lid so it could be read when the top was opened. Additionally, it has "ICE COLD" embossed on the front and back. As with all our products, we've kept this machine as close to the original as possible. For example, the rubber seals under the lid are screwed on, the cap catcher and bottle opener are exactly like the original and we even included wheels on the bottom like the original for easy movement. You open the lid and you have a deep box to place cans, bottles or anything else you want to keep cool. This machine will hold 80 cans of soda. If you have the refrigeration model you even have more room for something else on top.

Takes me back to my childhood
I love this! I purchased this retro coke frig on Amazon.com and got it within the week. UPS wasn't gentle with it, so it left a tiny bump near the bottom but that was something that I was okay with and I will tell you why. The machine is amazing! Yes, it makes a small amount of noise when it is cooling but when the drinks are at the ice cold temp they need to be, the unit stops chilling until the temp drops again. Then it goes back on. I've had it for several weeks now and the machine works beautifully! The door closes tight and it's all in perfect working condition. I would buy it again!The soda we get out of the machine is ice cold and ready to drink. My 17 year old son loves it! We love especially buying glass bottles for this unit as we can find them in the local grocery stores. I see the parts are interchangeable with the original unit this was modelled form. This retro model arrived to us new, a remake of an original unit. That means, we didn't have problems of rust or anything like that.This machine has inspired me to turn our entire dining room into a retro coke look. Am I glad I purchased it? Yes! My husband is not a retro buff and says "there's the frig!" No thanks. When I reach in to get myself a diet coke in a glass bottle, my memories go back to being 6 and my dad letting me reach into the machine and so I could pick the ice cold soda pop I wanted.A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!! :o) Well done, American Retro!

It appears to be solidly built and I like the retro look
It appears to be solidly built and I like the retro look.However sonething inside rattles when the compressor runs. This makes it noisier than any refrigerator I have ever owned.Also the lid and sides sweat badly. Maybe inadequate insulation. The dripping condensation does not hurt my concrete shop floor where I placed it, but I would hesitate to put it inside my house where it could damage floors.

I love the look of the unit but it's a little ...
I've had this unit exactly two years and it stopped cooling. There are no user serviceable parts unless you're already a knowledgeable appliance repair person. Now I have to call around to find someone to fix it. I love the look of the unit but it's a little loud. I keep it in a designated media room and usually turn it off while watching movies or TV otherwise it's difficult to enjoy what you're watching when the fan kicks on. Maybe when I have it repaired the technician can figure out a way to quiet it down.

poor communication with customer service
The Coca Cola Machine is nice & at first glance was good quality. It did have a ding & few scratches, so I tried to get a partial monetary refund for the item after sending proof in photos. They sent a whole new machine, but it had a few scratches on it, too, & it was difficult to pack & unpack such a heavy item out of its box for return. I contacted the manufacturer & the on-line seller & was told by the former that they could issue the refund, but it never happened. We like the item but feel like we were charged full price for a machine that looks a little used.

it arrived in ample time and i shipped it too the philippines to my house there,it goes perfect on my carport next too the pool table,keeps drinks cold no problems with this machine at all, doors close properly,no dents scatches or anything,all is good,a dream of mine has finaly been fullfilled by buying this cooler, mite not be the original,but i think this one is betterthank you, this is a must cooler to have,especialy for a game area.

Love our Coke Cooler in our new business!
We love our coke cooler. Looks just like the ones we remember as a child. We keep the small bottles of coke in it for our customers at our new Pre-owned Car Lot, which is in an old Texaco Station that was built in 1957. It still has the look, but has been completely updated and the customers love it and their coke out of the cooler.

Practical with character
This product was everything we could hope for! We were looking for a smallish soda/beer fridge for our back room and this not only fits the bill, adds some character as well. The storage space is roomier than you would expect - we have plenty of room.
