Very comfortable

Pretty good over all.
Gives modest support. A little hot in warm weather as they all would be. Seems pretty well put together and is fairly confortable to wear. It was good to be able to choose the right size.

Good for small (ish) necks, but if your neck is more than 17" the largest size will be too small.
I have (or had) a painful neck due to (probably) a trapped nerve. Now waiting for MRI scan to confirm. My neck has subsequently improved a lot, mostly, I think, because I bought a cervical support pillow, but I also bought this to give me some support in the periods during the day when, sometimes, the pain does get a little too much.First one I bought strangled me - but that is because I didn't read the blurb properly and ordered the wrong size! The suppliers agreed to refund me on returning the goods, however, so five stars to them!I subsequently ordered another one. My neck is 17" (circumference not length - I'm not a giraffe!) and the blurb clearly states you should add on 4", But they don't do a size 21" - the largest size is 20" and therefore I risked buying another one (in the largest size) and hoped it would be ok. It is, but only just. It supports my neck, but it does pinch a little - hence the three stars.I would have liked to give it four or even 4.5 stars, but as the maximum size is 20" (which equates to a maximum neck size 16") this will exclude a lot of people, I think. As an ex rugby player, I know many who have larger necks than I have, and therefore the fact that you can't buy a bigger size means I can only give it 3 stars. So I would offer this word of caution. You do need to add on the four inches (as the blurb suggests) and hence the maximum neck size this product will support appears to be a 16" neck (or 17", like mine, at a pinch - literally). If your neck is larger than this, don't buy, but if your neck is smaller, I think it will help. Finally, although I am not a doctor, I did read up on this before buying, and apparently you should only use such things in fairly short doses as too much reliance may be counter productive (causing your neck muscles to weaken). Therefore I will only use it if absolutely necessary, and not for long periods of time, but I do think it will help me during such times if I use it sparingly.

It works so what's the problem ?
If you measure your requirements as requested, it works. Have bought three black and white to rotate and have a spray of Febreze now and then to keep them nice.No idea what the down-markers are complaining about. Just measure as directed and it fits perfectly. Perhaps they sell alternative items ?

Poor support to start with.
I had high hopes for this collar after purchasing two from a different supplier, which were to short in height and foam density to give any support whatsoever for my Spondylosis. They just buckled under the weight of my chin. However, I was wrong. I have decided to keep it, as it is the best I have purchased so far, but will be looking for something much better. The collar itself is is of an acceptable height, but could do with being taller by about half an inch. The thickness of the foam could do with being thicker and it needs to be stiffer.I have had Spondylosis for over four decades. Initially I had a collar supplied by the NHS which was made of firm foam. It was uncomfortable and made my collar bones ache, but it did the trick of lifting the weight off my spine be the pivoting action of the collar under my chin. After a few years my spondylisis improved with neck exercises and I haven't worn a callar for three decades until now because my spine has deteriorated. Unfortunately i disposed of my original collar about a decade ago thinking I wouldn't need it again. Hence my current purchases. I hope this review will help others find the right collar for their needs. I'm still looking.I have reduced my star rating to one star. if i could give it no stars I would. it is a waste of money and gives no support at all. If you are looking for a collar that will give you the support you need buy a Vive 4" callar which is just brilliant at half the price. It might feel uncomfortable and stiff to start with. After time it will soften a little to feel more comfortable. See my five star review for the Vive collar, Also on amazon at half the price of this collar.
