works for superlight small things for a short time. You can wash them to reuse them.
I originally gave this a 1. But I am re-considering my review.Pros:I am using it in conjunction with stuff that is already nailed to the wall to keep it straight. That works. It's great to use on my iPhone when I am making a video or FaceTime.I like that you can wash them and reuse them. So that is excellent.Cons:It doesn't work on heavy objects. It doesn't work for long periods of time. I tried to get it to hold just a light cork board. A small one from the dollar store and it falls off after 10 mins. I used several pads just for one item.My mom has a few rugs in her house and it's great to keep it intact for a short time. But if it is heavy traffic forget it.Buy it to use for light things like your phone. You can wash them with just water and reuse.

I was surprised by the poor ratings posted for this product
I was surprised by the poor ratings posted for this product. My wife picked these up at Menards over a year ago. Then I was having a problem with the phone cradle falling off of the night stand when I would grab for the phone. It's made of light plastic. She said I should try a Gripeez on the bottom and to this day it's has not moved. The secret is make sure the surface is clean. I also used it to stick my Sound-blaster SBX to the side of my computer with all the cables attached, again I prepped the surface first. This time with a alcohol wipe on the computer's side and dried it with a towel. I then stuck the Gripeez on the side and the Sound-blaster box still stuck on the side. My next problem was my plastic pad on my wooden floor keeps moving after time (under my computer chair). Today I cleaned the back part of the pad. I stuck two towards the back end. I don't expect it to move. Remember a clean flat surface and these thing work. At least they have for me. I rate them a A!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!!!!
These things are the BEST!!! I keep ordering them every 6 months to a year. They are so versatile, and can solve SO many different problems if you just think about a fix / solution.E.g. my microwave oven KEPT slipping backwards EVERY time I closed the door or pushed the open Button - a minor irritation, but it was EVERY DAY for YEARS!!And I finally just grabbed a single one of these Gripeez, put it underneath - touching both the microwave & the surface. (Plus I quickly cut 4 small squares & put them @ the 4 corners of the microwave.) And BAM!! It solves a minor annoyance which had been bothering me - EVERY single day for the last 3 years!!! These things are good for many different purposes. And I am reminded of that now every time I use my microwave oven - & DON'T need to constantly / continually pull it back into position after every single use!!

Rip-off!
I followed the instructions on the Grippeez insert and so far I have not gotten one single thing to hold. Even something as light as a tv remote. For the remote, we put it on our wooden headboard between my husband and I and weren't even planning on taking the remote off the Gripeez. We were just going to press the buttons with it still attached to the headboard but we never got a chance. I put it on the headboard about lunchtime one day and when we went to bed that night, the remote and the Gripeeze as well, were off the bed. I did clean the wood and back of the remote with alcohol and let that dry as recommended and put the gripeez on the back of the remote and then pressed all of that against the clean dry wooden headboard. If it can't hold something that light, I'm sure it can't hold anything else. I was so impressed when I first opened and saw how sticky it was but you could roll it up and remove it easily; I had such high hopes. I also put up some wall decorations (all very light) and 2 very light pictures with plastic frames. Within 4 hours all of them had fallen off the wall. Don't waste your money!!! Wasn't even worth trying to send back.

Weight is a factor!
I needed 2 of the Grips to hold up a plastic box for keys -- however, after a week or so, the box containing 2-3 keys fell off the wall. So I probably would need 1 in each corner to secure the box's hold; but it isn't large enough for that many. I definitely won't try to hang anything that could break, e.g., pictures w/ glass covers. Thus, weight is a factor when deciding to mount anything.

LOVE!!
I love these things! I'm not sure why they've gotten so many low ratings. The one thing that's important to understand is that it's absolutely not permanent. I use it for things that tend to slide around, or need extra help staying put. Or even a surface that I'm afraid to use more industrial type of sticky stuff like Command Strips, UGlu and such. THEY'RE AWESOME FOR THE CAR! I love how you can stick items onto the Gripeez and then take them off several time with no residue. When they get too much "gunk" on them, I simply wash them off, and they're almost good as new! Also, they don't last forever, but then again, what does?

Great product as long as you know how to use it!
Ok. I found this product VERY useful. I use it on surfaces that I need small-medium object is to stay on. I use it on the dashboard and I love it!! it holds my hotspot, tablet, phone, sunglasses, etc. if I have an extra cup of lemonade or water, it will hold it!! I wouldn't recommend to use it on walls. The trick here is to keep them clean: As it gets used and dusty, it looses the 'power' to hold objects, so it's just as simple as wash it or rubber it on water and put them back on. I love it! this is my second set since I need to hold some items in my bedroom.

Does Not Work for hanging Kids Artwork On Stainless Steel Fridge
Wish I had read the reviews. I am trying to find something that will let me hang my kids artwork on our stainless steel metal door fridge. Grippez does not stick to paper. It does stick to the stainless steel on the fridge. Any suggestions out there. Right now I just use tape but it only last for a few days. This might work for other uses and I will be exploring those and will update if I have any luck.

Embarrassment abounded
It was dreadful. I used the whole pack to hold up a piece of balsa wood with a bamboo rail and a silk curtain on it for the unveiling of the plaque in our new hall by the Deputy Lord Mayor. It kept falling off the wall and I was soooooo embarrassed! We had to hold it on the wall whilst the DLM pulled the cord. I shan't post the picture I took, to save the embarrassment of the 3 people in the photo.

I was surprized at how much grip it had. ...
I was surprized at how much grip it had. It solved my problem of not wanting to put holes in the walls of my RV. The price is always disappointing when you have to convert from US to Canadian dollars though. Could not find it in any store & had to buy it through Amazon.ca The offer was not given on TV in Canada.
