Finally, we can avoid having 12000 avalanches every spring. We have steep roof, the house is about 25 feet high, so no way to get to the roof and remove show with a brush or shovel. With this thing, my husband brought down a huge portion of a snow that has already accumulated up there. The handle is wobbly, but since it's so long it is kind of expected.

Pathetic. Broke on powder. The handle is great the blade is awful. It was poorly designed. I had to drill two hole near the bottom edge to string some rope through just so I could use it.

Sturdy and easy to assemble, rubber guard on blade so you do not scratch the roof. Easy to use, did the job.

Here is what the man who uses this to get the snow off my roof says about this product...... The long handle is too flimsy to actually get snow off much above 5 feet or so off the roof when standing on the ground and that is on area where the house is only one story high.....The use of rubber on the product is good for me as I have a wood single roof and that is the reason I bought this model......my maintainence guy needs to get on a ladder to get what has to come off. That is not what I had wanted as I do not want him endangered in any way.....so the product reaching 20 feet may be true but it doesn't do it's job because the handle is not engineered to be stiff enough to work properly at the height advertised. I do not live in a real snow belt so if you do certainly pass on this product.

I was disappointed with the rake. The tubular segments are held together with a very loose fitting spring tab. Even a small amount of twisting on the handle causes the segments to separate. I was lucky to. Be able to reconnect the segments and get it off the roof. I bought this to rake snow off my solar panels. I wanted to avoid and metal touching the panels. Very bad start. I would return it but it is too much effort. I will doctor it with duck tape. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

The long reach makes this snow rake useful. Fairly sturdy, and with pulling down easy to use. Horizontal raking is difficult because of bending of poles. Light weight,easily assembled and taken apart.

Time will tell how well this works. Based on what I've seen I have high hopes. Ordered it early as everyone up here sold out by January last year.
