This coloring book has so many good things about it. First it is a thick spiral bound book with tons of images to color. The paper is heavy and strong, and being spiral bound the pages are easy turn all the way through. AND the pages are perforated so if you want to remove them for coloring or for framing this makes it so much easier. The front of the book starts out with some color pages on patterning techniques, coloring techniques, and color theory, as well as several pages of colored image samples. All images are single side which always makes coloring easier, and on the opposite page of each image is a famous quote. There are two different artists who worked together on this book, and at the bottom of each page the artist name is listed so you know which artist created the image on that page. If I had to describe the images in this book in just a few words, I would call them happy, fun, and inspirational. Truly a nice coloring book that would make an excellent gift.

I love that this is a hard cover spiral book and can lay flat.The paper quality is good. There are no back to back pictures and the book includes tips and tricks.

I love this so much that this is my second copy of it. I bought this one used but like new. It was damaged slightly when it was delivered. The package was partially opened due to the damage it sustained during shipping. The da m age of tgw book matched the damage of the package itself. You could tell it was shipping damage. The pages were all intact and not creased or marked in any way. Since I have another copy of it, I'm switching the pages from my damaged second copy spiral hard cover to my first copy. Moving my completed pictures to the damaged hard covers spiral temporarily. Eventually they will be laminated and put into frames then hung on my walls in different configurations. I would recommend this and this seller. Maybe not the shipping company. Thanks.

The Ultimate Coloring Book Treasury is the first adult coloring book treasury by Design Originals that I have purchased. Although I have purchased other coloring books published by them before. I was familiar with both artists and, really enjoy coloring their designs.Their have been other coloring book treasuries that I have purchased . One that I felt was well done and another that wasn't done. However, when I reciveved my Ultimate Treasury I found Design Originals surpassed all my expectations. ~ spiral-bound book with a thick layer of lament on the cover. Which allows the book to open completely and lay flat on a table. I have also been able to use it with it opened and the front cover placed 360 to the back and used in a ER waiting room resting on my lap. The spiral is a sturdy plastic material. That is closed securely at both ends. It has held up well to being packed inside a backpack and a messenger bag.~ paper is thick bright white paper . Not thin copier paper. It has a perforated line for clean easy removal . Pages are one-sided with an inspirational quote on the back.~ Media : I have used are Color pencils , dry watercolor pencils, and gel pens work the best. Faber-Castell, Royal-Langnickel , Super Doodle and Lolliz are the brands I used and had no bleed through of the gel ink Markers will bleed through I used Bic Mark-It permanent markers and fineliners.Features- 5 pages of instructions.- 10 pages of examples- 96 total pages to color- 51 pages by Valentina Harper- 45 pages by Thaneeya McArdleOverall impressions : I was impressed with this books presentation compared to that of glue-bound treasury books. Most of the pictures are uplifting with cheerful designs and inspirational affirmations to color.The one thing that gave me pause about the book was the including of designs known as sugar skulls and day of the dead designs. They didn't really seem to flow well with the rest of designs in this book. I especially liked the animals, flowers, mandalas and inspirational affirmations. I would recommend this book to other who are looking for a variety of designs to color.

One of the things that attracted me to this particular book was the idea of getting artwork from two different artists. I'm finding a nice variety of pictures from which to choose, with some more-detailed than others. This selection lets me decide how creative I want to be, which usually is pretty low-key given that my main intent is to relax and have fun.At the front of the book are several colored, glossy pages with topics like, "Why you should color," "Patterning Techniques," "Coloring Techniques and Media," and "Color Theory." There also are some samples of colored images, which provide great technique ideas. Again, as the colorist, one can choose to be as detailed as one chooses. For me, it's all about relaxing and having fun.I love that the book is spiral-bound so that I can either fold the book back or simply tear out a page and take it with me. Convenient.The paper is of good quality and will stand up to markers. I prefer to use pencils, but I forgot them once and borrowed someone's markers and they worked fine. There was a bit of bleed-through, but these pictures are just for my enjoyment so I wasn't bothered by that at all. The pictures are single-sided, so no other pictures were marred. I have read other reviews that say gel pens work well, if that's your preference.I definitely am happy with this purchase and certainly would recommend it.

I'm a coloring book snob - I like thick pages, one-sided images, spiral bound and I kind of hate themes.I get bored with coloring the same thing over and over. If you like a great quality coloring book with many, many diverse images then this is the coloring book for you.If you want something light, easy to carry and themed, this is not for you.My only issues was that the spiral can't bend back which kind of defeats the purpose of the spiral for me, but isn't a deal breaker.Highly recommended.

This book has a variety of pictures. It has something for the "I want to colour but not all night" project as well as, "I want to spend all day colouring". It's one of the bigger books I was able to find on Amazon. The fact that it is a spiral bound and has more than 30 pages is a huge sell point for me. I have bought every Valentina Harper colouring book published. Her books are the best. Good quality paper for paint, gel pens, coloured pencils, felt tips - every medium works. Perforated pages easily tear out. I love her designs and they keep me occupied for hours. Have tried other authors and keep coming back to Valentina Harper. Recommended!

so many different designs...I can choose depending on how I feel that day... I really like the quality of the paper and the spiral bond is the way to go for colouring books, as it makes it easy to turn pages and have a flat surface without ripping the pages off.

I love the spiral binding, it makes it so easy to colour. All colouring books should have one.
