Grateful Gnome - Double Circular Window Bird Feeder

I wondered how this was going to turn out, and was pleasantly surprised. Good quality lucite, holds firmly to the window totally full of seeds. Just follow the directions exactly, and be sure to put vegetable oil on the suction cups to assure a tight grip. Pleased with this style, brand, and it functions well, with a firm grip.

This is a great bird feeder, and so entertaining! I bought this for my bird-watching boyfriend. The birds took about a week to get brave enough to come up to the window, but now that they have found it, they never stop! We've had nuthatches, chickadees, finches, and sparrows. My only criticism is the opening where you add the food is just a small plastic cover. It doesn't lock into place (as far as we could tell) and squirrels would get in no problem. We fixed this problem easily by threading some wire though the hold on the top, and "tying" it around the feeder.Other than that one small issue, we've loved this feeder and I would definitely buy as a gift for others in future!

My finches and other birds have no interest in this feeder. I imagine if they were super hungry they might try but I have another regular feeder so they could care less.,

The squirrels climb on it sit in it eating the bird seed and knock it of the window. Not one bird has gone to eat out of this feeder. The top comes off easily after you open it the first time .There are not any instructions in the box.

This holds nice and strong on our window but the birds have still not hound the feeder.

The company send some myths vs facts about bird feeding and feeders which was useful. I love how the bird will be framed and still when they eat so it's easy to take a picture through the window.Easy to put up. Easy to fill.

the only reason i did not give this 5 stars is because a lot of the birds are confused and do not realize how to get in to this feeder, or they see a specific seed they want UNDER the plastic and they peck away at the plastic without getting the seed. we listen to a LOT of pecking on the hard plastic.on the plus side, i love to see the birds eating in there. it is a clean , simple design. the seed lasts much longer than our last feeder because the big birds cannot get in there.

I had to take mine down, if you are not on top of keeping it full at all times, smaller birds crawl in to reach seeds and get trapped and die. After I lost bird number 2 I took it down. Otherwise it was nice to watch them in there & looked pretty. But I didn't want to lose anymore birds. :(
