Great bag for the price!
I haven't had a chance to use this Backpack yet but I am very impressed with the construction and size of it. I am overweight and want to start walking/hiking in the woods behind my house and thought that this bag would be perfect to carry some water, a small camera, my phone and some snacks in so that I don't feel as uncomfortable getting too far from the house. I bought a 2L bladder online when I bought this bag (it does not come with one) and it fits nicely in the compartment and it is easy to thread the drinking hose up through the should straps. This bag is the perfect size for what I am planning to use it for and could not be happier.I may some day start doing to hiking to find geocaching locations and this is perfect for that as well.

Great product
A bit of a snug fit for anyone with a large chest--especially both top and bottom horizontal straps could be longer. Great light day pack though. Great option for days when a full day pack was too much!

Great hiking bag
Great hiking bag. I originally had a camelback but I don't like the way the water tastes, plus there isn't any room for anything else if I wanted to hike in somewhere and have lunch. This has the perfect amount of room to bring a few water bottles and anything else I might like to bring with me on the hike. The straps are well placed and the fit is very comfortable.

Definitely a hydration pack (just no bladder), lightweight, quite roomy, but too wide at the neck and questionable quality
First, let's be clear. This is absolutely, unquestionably a hydration pack. It just doesn't come with the hydration bladder. I ordered this to replace a nice Osprey pack that is quite large. I wanted something smaller and lighter weight for marathon xc bike races. This went back because there was a rip in sewing along the waist belt/side pocket. So that's an issue right there - quality control may not be great on these. That said, assuming you get one that doesn't have a rip, heres some pros and cons.Pros:I like the little side pockets on the waist belt - they are why I chose this. I like being able to grab gels/etc. while running or biking without having to take off the pack. There is what looks to be a water proof barrier between where the hydration bladder sits and the backpack storage. There is a nice little separate zippered pocket within the main storage compartment. The pack is pretty lightweight (I weighed it at 16 ounces) given its size. It is quite roomy - I could easily fit my SLR and down jacket and a hat in this pack. The hydration bladder has a little velcro loop for holding the bladder up, and the routing of the hydration tubing is easily and nicely done through the shoulder on either side you prefer.Cons:Quality may be an issue given the rip in my pack - or maybe less of a rip but where the manufacturer didn't get the lining material pulled correctly into the trim on the waist pockets. The zipper on back for the hydration bladder is pretty pinner - I don't believe it would last. There is no place to store the hydration tubing once it is in front - there's no little clip or place to tuck it except under the sternum strap. The sternum strap is kind of big and bulky for a sternum strap. There's also a Paladineer logo tag sewed onto the sternum strap making it a bit hard to tighten (but this might be a good thing - it would mean your sternum strap won't loosen easily). The pack is really WIDE. Wide up around the neck and on the back. Wider than I'd really want for a bike race. It also made the pack sit a bit weird on my since it is so wide - I'm a very broad shouldered 5'10 woman, athletic build, size medium shirts (sometimes large to fit my broad shoulders). I would think this would work fine on men, but women smaller than me might find it fits funny. The pack itself is wide too, which might be good for hiking to distribute the weight, but it would also cover more of my back, potentially making me hotter. The lining between the water bladder and your back is fairly thin - there's no foam in there to protect you from any parts of the water bladder. I put a 2.1 liter Camelback water bladder in there (could have fit much larger bladder if I wanted to) and the plastic cap area would have definitely rubbed. I turned it around so that the cap part was facing towards the back of the pack (away from my back) and that was much better, so not a major issue. In general, I found this hydration pack to be quite roomy as far as hydration packs go (as opposed to a full backpack with a place to store a water bladder) and nice and light, but the width of the neck/pack would have probably been a deal breaker for me even without the tear. A very reasonable price however, so if you are broad shouldered and get one without a tear, not a bad pack.

Just a tiny backpack, not a hydration pack
Not sure why this is called a hydration pack. It is really only a tiny backpack.

Backpack is nice, but it is not a hydration bag. Misleading title.
I purchased this item as a hydration backpack, however, it is basically just a backpack there is no water pouch or tubes. As a backpack only, it is very nice, however the title of this product is a Sport Bag Hydration Pack, it is not a hydration pack which is the reason I bought it. So basically their misleading title got me...

Fits pretty well, holds on to the body pretty tightly ...
Fits pretty well, holds on to the body pretty tightly as I run (I run ~2.5 miles in this daily), and the zipper seems strong. However, it's a bit smaller than I'd like - I wear size 12 shoes, and my shoes plus my slacks (32 waist/ 30 length) and shirt (16 neck/ 33 length) take up pretty much all the space, leaving a small gap for my wallet and phone (which are too big to fit in the size pockets, where I keep my keys and a padlock).

It was so easy to carry around on my back and/or in my ...
I bought this for a hiking trip I did last summer. It is light weight, but holds a decent amount of stuff. I had a few granola bars, a large water bottle, a rain jacket, wallet, and a few other small personal items in it. I could have fit more stuff in it, if I wanted to. It is definitely for short trips, and if you are going for a hiking trip that lasts for a few days, you would need a bigger one, however. It was so easy to carry around on my back and/or in my suitcase (during air travel, prior to hiking). It also has belts that go around your waist, so you can carry it very securely when you are actually using it. I liked it so much that I purchased another one in a different color when I came back from the hiking trip.
