Bottle to be squeezed bottom to top
We are using Octenisept brand for years; it’s well trusted with their wound washing and healing product, the liquid, that always did the job for us, from dental wounds to nail infections. Now we need something more sticky to cover a nasty erosion on the skin. Can’t yet comment one hundred percent on this, since we only started but wanted to advise some customers here about the bottle of gel that seems to be of an awkward shape. It is to be squeezed from bottom to top, a bit like pushing a plunger in a syringe, not sideways. Some buyers were troubled with this, since when squished sideways the bottle of gel is rock hard! 😊

WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS CONTAINER?!!
This is literally the most frustrating, perplexing, non-user friendly (is it a tube? a container? pot?) plastic holder of gel EVER! It's like the sort of thing you get dangerous liquids in.. Soooo... Someone actually went into a room and said 'Hey guys, found a great way of containing the superb wound gel we have spent so much time and effort and expertise and scientific knowhow and research and testing on.. Let's stick it in this hard plastic weird looking bottle sort of thing, that no one can squeeze as it's too hard and once open, much like glue, it hardens and thickens and stays inside forever, and you need a saw to open the plastic?! a lid (if you can call it that it) also, doesn't fit/click shut/close on anything.. it just sit loosely on top' Seriously! A group of people agreed this!!! So just to reiterate, the gel is really really good however, You cannot squeeze this strange little thing.. and i used a saw (yes an actual saw) to open it. Soooo can i graciously suggest that it comes in a nice easy normal gel ointment soft tube or even a screw top. Think Savlon, Germolene tubes, Or even try the trusty old toothpaste tube (as the consistency of the wound gel is similar to gel toothpaste) as a great receptacle! It has worked and remained largely unchanged since the invention of the wheel. Many Thanks!

The actual gel is great, container absolutely awful...
I have no qualms regarding the gel itself, if anything just the fact it dries a bit too crispy which allows it to flake/break off with the natural movement of skin. Making it a little more elastic would keep it on longer and save users from looking like their skin is peeling off in white chunks. My main issue is the bottle. I do not believe this was tested with real people whatsoever, let alone disabled people.Opening it for the first time is very hard on the hands. Then you notice that the contents are clearly too viscous to simply pour from the bottle. It is not a squeezy bottle, quite the opposite. It is oddly shaped and hard, leaving the user with only one option to remove the viscous liquid - turning it upside down and hitting the end with their hand, as hard as they can.Basically the same way you used with the old glass ketchup bottles, but this is hard plastic with sharp protruding letters and edges at the base, meaning whoever is hitting it becomes cut/sore from the contact.I have particularly fragile skin, I ended up cutting my hand trying to get the liquid for my other wounds. Ironic, no?At least the glass ketchup bottles were smooth...Not to mention the sheer effort you need to do this. Most disabled people would struggle, myself included, and I'm a 23yo female. I tried with one hand but it's simply not enough, you have to hit it.If you have any issue with your hands /that's where your wound is, good luck - this product is not for you unless you have a carer.A simple toothpaste style tube would have saved me so much stress and physical injury. This bottle is the most impractical design I have ever experienced. Please change this.

be careful
I wanted to speed up healing after I had moderate acne for a long time so I put it on my face. It gave me a weird reaction. I got a strong itchy acne. I had to have an emergency appointment.
