These brackets are expensive - but if you want your deck to look perfect - they are worth it.If you use an adjustable driver drill (i have a dewalt) in the #2 setting the deck screws will seat perfectly (in redwood at least) every time.Yes - its more work - but the look of a deck with no surface fasteners is great... I was able to get under my deck to install - not sure how it would be to install from the top surface.Given how much lumber and other materials cost - this was a moderate expense and made the project better. I used 4 of these boxes on my recent project and was very pleased with the kit quality overall.

I installed these on a deck I built around 2000 using Trex decking and that deck is still 100% level and true, no rust and screws are all still good. It is a long process to put these in but the results are awesome. Much better that the silly plastic clips offered by other vendors.

Outstanding product purchased the non-coated brackets eight year ago and they continue to function great in all weather conditions. This Deckmaster system minimize rot, and hold very fast all widths of boards -my rear deck is 2x8's and my front deck is 2x6 thru 2x12's decking boards both over 500 square feet each!Great amount of screws and bits for brackets and deck boards in each kit.

Worked great as they always do!
