Rough Rider Blackwood Work Knife Large RR1708

Good quality knife

It's a kinda-sodbuster that's not too pricey to carry and use. As usual with Rough Ryder, you could use it right out of the box, but if you spend some time sanding and polishing, you end up with a knife that looks and feels way more expensive than it is. The brass fittings contrast perfectly with the dark, smooth wood.

OK knife, but didn't read the spec's close enough....was expecting to see the 'large' sod buster size, but this one is more comparable to the sodbuster Jr.......but OK...

I have lots of Rough Ryder/Rough Rider knives. All are great, particularly the reserve line. However, this particular knife impresses me the most simply because it's easily the best cost/quality ratio of all the ones I've bought. For like $12 or $13, this knife is spectacular. Polished wooden handles, brass liners, and blade centered perfectly. I prefer kickbacks in work knives so this having a lock adds even more value. The blade is tight with no wobble and operates smoothly. The steel isn't great but its sharp out of the box and easy to keep sharp and nobody should expect miracle steel for a $13 knife. Awesome user knife. Really impressive.

I really like this knife I carry it very often and I like most RR knives and another plus is that it has a lock while case sodbuster doesn’t It’s now late May and I am still carrying this knife in my every day carry it’s easy to sharpen and small size makes it great 👍🏼

Junk. Loose blade. Crack around pins. Was sent two. Both had problems

It was a dull blade right off of the box. I returned it, i didnt want to mess it up by sharpening it myself.
