Goddess Eye Masks Satin Eye Mask

Elastic band was too tight, presses on the top of my wife's nose, making it hard to breathe.

Meant for small faces. Made with see through material not full light blocking. I will shop for better.

My husband works over night as a police officer, and as most know, police officers need to get their rest and be alert for anything that comes their way. My husband was complaining that when he would come home in the morning, there was too much sunlight in our bedroom. We had placed a dark blanket over our blinds to assist with blocking out light, but it didn’t really seem to help. So, I got the eye mask in hopes that it would help solve our problem.My husband tried the eye mask on the first day and fell in love with it. He really enjoyed how the eye mask is able to block out sunlight and helps him ease into a deep sleep. He also really liked the layout and design of the mask, and stated that the eye mask fit perfectly over the bridge of his nose. My husband indicated there was an extra piece of fabric across the nose to fill in the gaps and shape to his own nose and face. The eye mask is also a perfect fit for my husband’s head too, and he was pleased to see that the eye mask was not too tight against the back of his head. It also wasn’t tight against his eyes, and provided enough room to ensure that his eyes rested easy as the eye mask fit comfortably.My husband is absolutely pleased with the eye mask, and plans to continue using it. At one point, he was using a t-shirt to block out the sunlight. With the eye mask, he doesn’t look as silly, and he gets his much needed sleep while sleeping comfortably with no sunlight.Note: I received this eye mask at a heavily discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

1. Look/Design: I really like the black color of the eye mask, which is appropriate for most sleeping conditions and the rooms that people are sleeping in. Not sure why some eye masks come in different colors other than black, since black blocks out more light. This particular sleeping mask is quite thin, but will surprise you at how effective is. However, Its thin design didn't turn out to be too bad, since it is nice and lightweight and still effectively blocks out light at the same time. I do wish that the eye mask came with ear plugs as most eye masks on the market come with them. "1.00 STARS!"2. Effectiveness: As mentioned above, it is quite thin, but it blocks out light very well. One of the problems I notice on my eye masks is that they usually let in light around the nose portion, but this eye mask does a great job at blocking out light in regards to that. No eye mask is perfect, but this one is quite close. "1.00 STARS!"3. Ease Of Use/Setup Time: It really doesn't take long to fit the eye mask onto your head. It will take you some adjusting to get familiar with the eye mask, but you won't want to be without it once you get used to it. "0.75 STARS!"4. Feel/Comfort: The eye mask isn't the most comfortable eye mask I've tried, but more than sufficient and won't agitate you like some other eye masks that I've tried that took more time to get comfortable with. I didn't have an issue with it coming off my head either, since it has some quality straps. "0.75 STARS!"5. Price/Value: The price of the product is quite comparable to most products on the market and I think it is more than fair for the quality that you get. It would be nice to see those ear plugs added as an addition though. "0.75 STARS!"6. Summary: This is a solid product! You get a surprisingly effective eye mask despite is thin design. The nose portion blocks out more light than most eye masks I've tried. I do wish that the product came with ear plugs and it would be even nicer if it were made out of a softer material, such as silk to make it more comfortable.7. We have a streetlight outside our window and my wife can't sleep unless it is pitch black. She has always slept with an eye mask, but her old one has been getting kind of ratty lately. I ordered this as a surprise to replace her old one.This mask is very soft and she says it is really comfortable. The elastic doesn't pinch her hair like the straps on some cheaper eye masks do. This isn't super fancy, but it does get the job done. The size of this eye mask is good. I have a small head and it fits me fine. The elastic is very stretchy where someone with a larger head could also fit it without it being too tight. The fabric is soft, however, I don't consider it satin, as is described in the title. It's more of a plasticy nylon to me. It seems that I got a different version than the picture and that other reviewers posted pictures of. I was pleasantly surprised though. It has a flap that comes down over your nose to help block out a little extra light. It's not perfectly contoured where if the light were at your feet it would block out 100% but it does a pretty good job. I would buy another. The stitching is kind of sloppy and there is an exposed edge of the fabric on the front above the nose piece. All in all, this mask may not be perfect but it's soft and does its job.
