Avyden Slim Portable USB External DVD Combo CD-RW Burner Drive Black

THIS IS A GREAT, GENERIC DVD /CD WRITER THAT DOES PARTICULARLY WELL WITH DVD-RW AND DVD-R DISCS HOWEVER, THIS IS THE SECOND ONE I HAVE BOUGHT BECAUSE THE FRONT PLATE COVER TO THE DVD SLIDE OUT DRAWER FELL OFF MY FIRST ONE AND, GUESS WHAT, THE NEW ONE ALREADY HAS A HALF ATTACHED FRONT DRAWER PLATE. ITS JUST NOT MADE WELL WHEN IT COMES TO THAT PART. YOU CAN SUPER GLUE IT BACK ON BUT THAT ONLY.LASTS AWHILE. STILL A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DEVICE, INEXPENSIVE AND WORKS WITH PRETTY MUCH ANY BLANK DISC THROWN AT IT.

I need an external CD drive my new laptop did not come with one. I chose this model because it had the emergency release for the CD drive. The other ones I looked at did not. I plugged into my laptop and instantly it recognized it no waiting around to install drivers. It plays fine I have it now about 6 months and no problems. The only thing I wish was that the cables were a little bit longer

It's ok i thought i got the one that burns dvd rw as well. It burns cd when it wants to some time. I wish it was a rating lower than one.

I needed it the next day for a reason, the thing wouldn't open no matter what i tried and the instructions were vague. I wont be purchasing Avyden products anytime soon

It works great, but I wish I would have gotten a burner.

works great for downloading some disc(blueprints, excel files, word documents) I still have and get from someone.

This item did not read a DVD. Perhaps it was defective. It would bring up the files, but wouldn't play the content.

Needed this for my notebook that has no drive and it it perfect.
