Good value, works but incomplete documentation hurts
I like the small footprint, good performance and nice antennas are included. I spent extra time trying to make the GPS work while the cellular data was active, and after gps was enabled the cell data stopped working. What is not in the documentation: you must not use the typical gps on command and nmea retrieval command. Rather use the AT+SGNSCMD=1,0 command and wait for a single gps shot. Refer to the simcom reference manual. You may get those at waveshare (dot com).

Works perfect!
Nice board. Documentation was a little tricky for a beginner. I had not heard of AT commands before buying this, but I fumbled my way through it to get a working project.

Still investigating its abilities
Would be great if it was offered with directions how to ppp or share its data connection over GPIO

Works. Documentation could be better.
