Wonderful Lorne Action Figure
Lorne (or the Host, if you prefer) was a green-skinned, red-horned Empath demon and singer. He came from the hell dimension Pylea and, if you've ever been there, it's not Disneyland, that's for sure. When he found himself on Earth, he decided to stay put and made a club, Caritas, a demon sanctuary. When he met Angel Investigations, he made his way into the group (after they destroyed his club three times!) and soon proved to be an asset because of his powers and loyalty.Lorne is pretty much one of my favorite characters of the series Angel. He was funny, witty, interesting, and he had such a great voice. This shows Lorne in his first appearance, at his club Caritas in the episode Judgement. The outfit is completely accurate, though I'm sure it's not that difficult to get it right since it's so simple. The sculpt is great. I think Diamond Select Toys (the company that produces Buffy/Angel figures) is better with monsters, as shown here. The skin is very cool and accurate, and the horns are lovely. The hair is a little darker than it should be, but that's not a huge deal. The accessories are all well-thought out. The figure comes with a stage, two lights to put on stage (which took a bit of time for me, though I'm sure it's easier than I made it seem), two microphones (one in his hand and one one a stand), a sea breeze, and a speaker. I believe all of the Lorne figures come with the stage, but it is a very cool stand and therefore the reuse is okay. There's a single problem with this figure that I can't stand: it's always looking down. I can't raise the head at all, it always shows Lorne looking down. When it's on the stage, it's not too bad, but when I want it on the ground, it looks very odd. I believe the others have this problem (excluding the Pltrz Glrb Lorne, as its head is removable and therefore can be placed however the owner wants on the neck), but it bothers me very much. However, that's the only con in this great figure. The articulation is fantastic: shoulder, bicep, elbow, v-crotch, knees, and neck (though only side to side). There may be something else that I'm missing, but I'm pretty sure that's it.I would recommend buying this figure, but also one of the others if you want one that ISN'T looking down the whole time. This figure is Lorne's first appearance, though, and I think it makes it nostalgic for fans of Lorne and Angel.

This is a great likeness of Lorne
This is a great likeness of Lorne. I'm very happy to have this figure. There's great detail, and this whole line of figures is one of the better lines I've purchased from.Lorne's head tends to fall off a lot. It's not a big deal because it pops right back on, but if you take this out and play with it some, expect that to be a thing that happens.
