Surprisingly great - if you want quick and easy toasties at home
I really love this little toastie maker and was honestly surprised by how well it works. As long as you follow the instructions, it delivers great results — the sandwiches come out properly toasted and evenly cooked every time. It’s super easy to use, with a straightforward design that doesn’t overcomplicate things. One of the best features is how it comes apart for cleaning — everything separates nicely, which makes it quick and easy to clean after use. It’s also not too bulky at all. It doesn’t take up much space and fits neatly in the cupboard when not in use, which is a big plus for smaller kitchens. Overall, it’s simple, effective, and does exactly what it promises. A great little appliance that I’m very happy with.

Great item
This is a fantastic item, bought it for my partner a few weeks ago and since then he has been eating an unhealthy amount of cheese toasties. It makes the bread crisp and the cheese melt and is very quick and easy to use. Really recommend it.

Great for speed and tasty toasties
It’s given me a great new option for lunch on work days where calls are back-to-back and time is limited. It compares well with a traditional toastie maker that gives that little bit of hard/chewiness around the edges but delivers a well toasted sandwich overall and is in line with something you’d buy in a coffee shop. Surprised to read some people are cutting bread down to size as I’ve just let my Warbies toastie loaf slices overhang a smidge without any issue! Cheese, onion and tomato ketchup are my fillings of choice and have turned out great every time. 4* because they’re not the ‘best’ toasties I’ve ever had but they’re definitely not the worst! I’ve found hand washing the outer and plates easy when everything has cooled down.

I think people only say it's great because influencers have said it's great (it's not)
Like others, I have seen this gadget all over TikTok, then the price drop on Prime day finally tempted me to give it a go. The promise of a quick, easy toastie with minimal effort was very appealing and I honestly couldn't wait to try it. It fits bread that is fairly square in shape, so my Co-op toastie loaf was perfect. You lightly butter the outside, then add your filling to within 10mm of the edge to avoid seepage. The lid clips into place and then you pop it in the microwave for a duration to suit your liking. Times are given for light, medium and high browning (3, 4 and 5 minutes in a 900W oven respectively) with a flip-over around the half-way mark. For my first try I opted for the medium browning, and I have to say upon taking it out of the microwave it looked pretty perfect. But it was downhill from there... The filling at this point is scalding hot. I mean literally first-degree burn hot. So you need to let it cool for a good few minutes before you bite into it. But my first bite of the corner did not go well. It was so tough I found it to be inedible, and couldn't even chew it. The second bite of the edge only faired marginally better, being chewy rather than crispy. Crust aside, the rest of the toastie was actually quite palatable, although a little soggy in the centre. Undeterred, I tried again on the light setting. This time, I tried cheese and beans, but you can only fit about 2 teaspoons of beans before it's over-filled, and it still seeped out a tiny bit. The light setting was hopeless. The crust was still chewy but the rest of the bread was very soggy indeed, and it still takes a long time to cool down before you can bite into it without burning yourself. The instructions say you can't use this in a combination microwave oven, which was annoying because that's what I have and there was no mention of that in the listing. But I think that only means on the combination setting because I tried it on the microwave only function and it worked just fine. Overall, this isn't a game-changing gadget. The commission-earning influencers have clearly talked-up a fairly mediocre invention into sounding a lot better than it really is, when two slices of bread in a normal toaster is far better in my opinion.

Easy to use, Easy to clean, Easy to store!
Even after reading the reviews, I was sceptical, but I went ahead and bought it. We are toastie lovers so tested it out as soon as it was delivered, and I have to say that the result was perfect! Quick, crispy and no mess! Even though our traditional toastie maker has removable plates, its still a faff to clean, as the cheese somehow manages to seep everywhere - but it was totally different with this No preheating, just prepare your bread, choose your filling, clamp it into the gadget and pop it in the microwave and hey presto its ready! Crispy, hot and perfect No seepage, no mess, no hassle! But the enjoyment doesn't stop there, as the clean up process is a breeze too This new toastie maker is much smaller - making it far more accessible in the 'gadget cupboard' Its much quicker to use - so its not a hassle to have toasties anymore Its much cleaner - so the clean-up dread is no longer an issue 10/10 from us We have already recommended it to friends & family in the hope that we will soon convert everyone!

takes little space in my cupboard, it is super easy to clean, it could be cheaper
I love it. It is expensive (it could be less expensive), but the rest of things really compensate. Most of my friends were like "in the microwave?", yes, it goes to the microwave and it does what it is supposed to do with very good results. I find the bread crunchy, but a little bit a different crunchy than in sandwich maker. Anyway, for me it is quite ok. What it counts for me: -cleaning it is really that easy....no comparison with a electronic sandwich maker, really. -to store it, it takes that little space that for my tiny house it is what I needed. The things that you need to know about it are about how it works, so if you did not read the other reviews yet, you need to know the following in order to understand what you are buying: -you cannot use it more than four times in a row (but come on, me with 4 sandwiches ... too much....) -You need to turn the thing in the middle of cooking (with oven gloves because it gets hot). From one side you cook 1 minute more +/- than from the other. Me with 1000 power, I do it 2:30 - 1:40, for really brownish bread as I like, so it takes you 3:10 to have a sandwich (with less power, 900, maybe it is the same, my microwave is not that super because it has inverted technology which remains a bit mysterious about efficiency , but with 600 power, be ready to wait a bit more, way more). -count well, this means that I take 12 minutes 40 seconds to have four sandwiches in the plate (unless I start eating them while doing the other ones), without counting the preparation time, so in that sense, it is a bit different than a sandwich maker that usually gives you at least 2 at once (my mom's is huge, you make 4 at once). -once you prepared everything, you can be doing other things and just come to turn around the thing every time the microwave beeps, for me it works. -The cheese is melted but differently. You know this story about burning your mouth because you bite the sandwich you just took out of the sandwich maker.... well, here the cheese is melted but it did not happen to be at the point of being boiling so that you get burned, or it can also bit that it gets cold more quickly than when made with a sandwich maker ...I like it, I am happy with this. -As said, it gets very hot but I found a trick to take the sandwich out: the last round I do it with the clips looking up, it is very easier to unclip it without gloves because the silicon is not hot (but be very cautious, the black-metal-like thing inside, it is extremely hot) To sum up, if you are looking for an option which takes less space, it is really easy to clean, you have a microwave and you do not need to do more than 4 sandwiches in a go, buy it.

FABULOUS item!!!!
I had my doubts but I'm SO pleased that I bought this item. If you are wanting to make a quick Toastie for one, then I recommend you buy one of these. They produce a wonderful crunchy Toastie. I've used it for chicken and avocado - photo - cheese and tomato, and roast meat Toasties. Apart from the results being fabulous, I love the fact that you can just drop it into soapy water and after a quick wipe it's spotless! I have the deep Breville Original but the cleaning after use drives me CRAZY! Granted the Breville does things, like cracking an egg on the bread which cooks as it toasts, but for everything else the Morphy Richards 511644 MICO is my go-to Toastie maker. I'm so pleased that I bought this product! :-)

What a great idea!
I read about this little toastie maker and decided to treat myself. I’m on my own and I’ve always liked toasties but the machines were always heavy and big and horrible to clean, so long ago stopped using them. This is brilliant! It’s small and light and can be tucked in a small corner and I just wash it in hot soapy water. I made a cheese and chutney sandwich for my first try, so good! Such a great idea, I know I’ll use it a lot.
