Bad Air Sponge 2lb. Container (3002N), Blue

So much money spent on candles, sprays, and other deodorizers to remove odor in a large room where my 4 dogs sleep, but nothing worked. Finally, gave in and purchased an air purifier machine that claimed to remove pet odors. Purchased extra filters for the air purifier knowing it would need changed often to work on odor from 4 big dogs. Paid $100 for the machine and the replacement filters are $25 each and last about 2 weeks or less, not 3 months as claimed. Granted, the purifier collected tons of hair on the Hepa filter and on the outside of the machine, but left the bad odor in the room. Complaining about the filter not helping much at all, my sister told me that she bought a product called Bad Air Sponge in her quest to find pet odor remover products. She also had tried many products and a room air purifier, with no luck, until she purchased a Bad Air Sponge, with not much hope for it either. It worked great for her, so I ordered one and when it arrived, I put it in the dog room and removed the filthy air purifier; I forgot about it the next morning when I went to feed the dogs. They were still sleeping, and I said out loud, "Wow, it doesn't stink in here". That's when I realized the air purifier was not in the room and the new product was. There was just a hint of dog odor, but nothing like the night before. I picked up the Bad Air Sponge to read about it again. It stated on the container than for really bad smells, remove the sponge from the container and place it on its lid, exposing the entire sponge to the air. I did that and while I felt I could live with the hint of bad odor, I went about my day. That night, I was shocked that the dog odor was gone, as if the windows had been open for days and fresh air had been blowing through! No joke, this odor we have lived with for four years, was gone! The sponge is beginning to shrink, as it is supposed to, and I am in awe of the Bad Air Sponge! Even though one of the 2 lb containers cost about the same as the air purifier filters, I don't care because this works without using electricity 24/7!

My cat got stressed on a road trip and peed in her carrier that's a fuzzy synthetic washable fabric blend. This led to an issue with her peeing in it multiple times, but I didn't catch it for a few days. Gross! All of my usual tricks - enzyme cleaner, laundry sanitizer, washing a million times, soaking in Oxyclean, Lestoil, you name it - could NOT get the pee smell out even though it was completely and thoroughly cleaned / sanitized. I placed this inside her carrier and sat it out on the porch in direct sunlight for several days in a row, and lo and behold! No more pee smell. She's never tried marking it again. This stuff is literal magic. I've since used it in stuffy / musty smelling rooms and it obliterates any gross odors - I know that it really works because the smell doesn't come back even after the product is gone (unless of course you haven't addressed the actual root cause of the smell). Totally worth the price!

It certainly distracts from the smell of dead mouse (we couldn’t find it). It smells strongly of moth balls, according to my mom. It is hard to say whether it “absorbs” the smell (whatever that really means), but for a while it definitely overpowered the mouse smell. Eventually, and this is gross description coming up, the dead mouse probably decomposed more and began overpowering the diminishing moth ball smell and we just decided it’d be worth the effort to cut open the backing of the couch to look for the mouse there (we indeed found it there and the smell went away almost immediately). The product over time seemed to shrivel up, but I don’t know whether that’s good or bad. I would recommend this product if you can tolerate moth ball smell, and would say it is much more tolerable than dead mouse smell and more consistently effective than spraying air freshener (which for dead mouse you would have to spray every 30min or so). Put it close to the source of the offending smell if you know where it is, or where it smells the most strongly. You may want to close it up at night to keep away from curious pets.

I got a terrible renter who basically sabotaged my rental. He kept so many dogs and cats indoors and the rental literally smells like a s**thole. I bought so many odor remover but nothing works. They just used fragrance to cover the bad smell. I was not expecting this to be working either. I left it in the rental overnight, the next morning, when I walked in, I could already tell the bad smell was not as strong. It has been 4 days and the bad smell has not completely gone but it’s improving each day! Thank you!

My son got car sick and vomited in my van. After cleaning extensively with spray carpet cleaners, a steam cleaner, AND baking soda, my van was still filled with the lingering, sour stench of vomit almost 2 months later.Desperate to find something to get rid of the smell once and for all, I scoured the internet. And I'm here to tell you...this stuff is a miracle worker! I scooped several spoonfuls into an old CoolWhip bowl, then poked large holes all across the lid.I slid the bowl under the back of the passenger seat, and hoped for the best. Within 24 hours, the smell wasn't quite as strong, and within 3 or 4 days I couldn't smell vomit at ALL.There was a very faint, sweet scent in my van in the beginning. Not overbearing at all. Just a light scent that reminded me that the Bad Air Sponge was there.Would definitely recommend this product!

It's a big blue sponge with no scent ( that I can perceive) it starts shrinking as it has been used. It helped a lot on the area that I needed it. I did end up taking the entire sponge out and placing it on the cap because the smell was so bad. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I have used something similar before and it didn't give the same result. Very highly recommended.

It's not masking the odors in my room.

I have a very sensitive nose so despite buying litter that’s supposed to cover the smell it is still strong to me. Bought 2 of these to keep near the boxes and now the smell is gone. You can’t even tell there is a litter box in the room.
