A brilliant album and Ozzy’s best effort in many years!
Best Ozzy album since the 90’s. I only received it yesterday so can’t say that everything has fully sunk in yet, but I enjoyed it so much I had to get a review on here in case there are people unsure whether to buy it yet!The Opening few tracks are blistering Ozzy metal, a real return to form.Crunching riffs that bring to mind his seminal early (80’s) material, a hint of Ozzmosis, some latter day Sabbath and some good all round Hard Rock. The Ballad with Elton John was a big surprise, their voices work well together and it isn’t a syrupy mess. It’s actually a damn good hard rock tune. The production on most of the tracks is great, not too processed (although, whisper it.....you can tell where his voice has been cut and pasted into place here and there)...some of the tracks sound damn dirty, just enough grit to bring happy memories of his Crazy / Doomy past. The almost punky track featuring Post Malone is another treat, fast and fun, again the voices work well together and it’s good to see Ozzy trying something new. It’s a little throw away though, a comedy aside perhaps to lighten the mood of this quite Doom flavoured album. The final almost hip hop, programmed track is quite dated, like an instrumental you would find on a Limp Bizkit album.......no, don’t runaway.....just skip it and pretend it doesn’t exist.Anyway a really good album and very pleasant surprise.Ozzy has some great musicians on here but Duff McKagan and Chad Smith deserve a special mention, they are fantastic throughout. Miss the fantastic guitar of Zakk though, a real shame he wasn’t involved with this one. Slash features on a couple of tracks but he sounds subdued here.Anyway, if you’re a fan buy it, if you lost track of Ozzy in the 90’s and 00’s give it a chance.TBH it’s a four star Ozzy album but due to the fact it’s better than other rubbish in the charts and that I might encourage someone to have a punt on this I’m giving five stars.

Ozzy Osbourne – Ordinary Man Review
Released to no inconsiderable amount of hype, 2020’s Ordinary Man is Ozzy Osbourne’s 12th full-length studio album. There’s been a veritable whirlwind of press about it, which you’ve probably read already, but the salient facts are these: It’s a star studded affair full of collaborations, it was written and recorded really quickly during a period of ill-health, and it is better than anyone expected. The most relevant guest appearances to rock fans are Guns N’ Roses’ Slash and Duff, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morrello, Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ Chad Smith and of course, Elton John. However, read the Wikipedia article if you want a Chinese Democracy’s worth of further participants. It was produced by Andrew Watt (remember him, from California Breed, the Black Country Communion spin-off ?) who has since gone on to all sorts of success in the mainstream music world. Watt also contributes much of the lead guitar, as neither Gus G nor Zakk Wylde were involved in the record.Stylistically, the album doesn’t feel like a continuation of the previous albums Scream (2010) or Black Rain (2007) but rather, its feels like a strange midway point between No More Tears (1991) and Ozzmosis (1995). Well, for the most part at least, its also really diverse and a little unfocused and not really any one thing. There’s a few ballads, one or two mid paced rockers, a big album centrepiece in the varied ‘Under The Graveyard’ and then the weird punky closer ‘It’s A Raid’ which also has a guest appearance from rapper de jour, Post Malone. The album doesn't end on a soppy note, which it easily could have, as the title track and a few others definitely bare the hallmarks of being written during a health scare and having the ‘this is my last album’ vibe to them. Luckily Ozzy has since stated that he intends to make another record. The general consensus among fans, critics and the general public has been that this album is way better than anyone expected. Some people have started throwing around ‘’best album since…’’ statements.I would have to agree with this consensus, but also preach caution on the ‘’sinces.’’ Don’t buy into the unrealistically positive hype. It doesn’t live up to that high bar. There are flaws (the lyrics for one, and the production for another). This probably won’t turn out to still be many people’s favourite Ozzy album 10 years from now.It is however, a brief, refreshing and entertaining hodge-podge of loose, sometimes ‘90s-sounding Ozzy and a few ‘’Nevermind, lets just have fun’’ moments. In summary; Its simultaneously better than you’d expect, but realistically not as good as people say it is.

Going Straight to hell Under the Graveyard .....
Thank you Ozzy for all the pleasure you give me you will always be my NO1 idol and i will forever hold you in my god like status. This album is solid if i had to dislike one track it would be It's a raid as tbh its my least favourite out of every single song on here. But if you are an Ozzy fan like me then you will soon forget about it and love every single minute of this album and i can only echo what others have this certainly goes up there with some of Ozzy's best works.I sure hope he lives on to make the one more album.bless Ozzy love you so much man and you will be forever in my ears and heart <3

This album Rocks and Rolls. It's Ozzy on Top Form.
This album is a certified winner. Totally accessible from the first Riff. Ozzy is in outstanding voice. As with all Ozzy releases there is light and shade, some out and out rockers (Straight to Hell, Eat Me and It's A Raid) that will pin you to the back wall, as well as a couple of soft ballads (All my life , Ordinary Man and Holy For Tonight) that Ozzy does better than most (think Goodbye to Romance, So Tired and Mama I'm Coming Home)Really hope Ozzy is well soon and back on the road. Can't wait to hear some of these songs performed Live.

Just give it a listen to pleaseo
This was an album I've been waiting for ,it's not a typical ozzy Osborne c.d, but it's a brilliant album, the lyrics are really meaningful and real .because at the end of the he is an "ordinary man"

Ozzy puts the ordinary, in extraordinary!
A top quality album, and I expected nothing less from ozzy. This album has many catchy singles which I could listen to on repeat and the songs that accompany them are great too. It is the first album I have purchased of ozzy even though I’ve been a fan for years. I bought this one on vinyl so that I could treasure it as a keepsake. Ozzy hasn’t lost it. I highly recommend this album. The music is great and the songs are varied. What more could you ask?
