Great tool for efficiently practicing 3-pointers and free throws!!!
This rebounder is such a great tool for my 15 year old to very efficiently practice his 3-point shots and his free throws! Now I don't have to chase the ball all over the neighborhood. However, he likes me to stand underneath, catch the ball as it comes down the shoot and throw it to him (as it would come to him in a game) instead of receiving it like a slow rolling bowling ball.I had my son read the directions with me to choose the pieces along with the correct nuts and bolts. It went together very easily as you just need two 10mm wrenches for everything. There were no missing pieces and within a short time we were lifting it onto our hoop and HOORAY it works beautifully! We are thrilled with this piece of equipment that will help my son round out his valuable skills!I would highly recommend this great tool!

Great Sturdy Product! Does Exactly as Advertised!!
This is a phenomenal shot trainer and ball return piece of equipment. It does exactly as purported and has helped my son immensely. The iC3 is well constructed and was really quite easy to put together. Just follow the instructions exactly... simple as that. I think it took me around 45 minutes to put together but it would have been quicker since I was helping with dinner. My son shoots quite a bit everyday as part of his training and this allows him to be efficient with his time. To become a great shooter, one must have correct form and one must put in the reps to develop muscle memory. The net helps instill muscle memory for the correct trajectory of the ball, which aids the form. It is true that one can get several hundred shots off in a short period of time. I prefer to have the ball return directed to me. At that point, I can then pass the ball to my son so he can practice creating his shot pocket.Overall, this is a great product, which I would highly recommend!

Is the system perfect? No
Is the system perfect? No. Will it help my boy's improve their shooting over time? Absolutely.I had to modify the arms that hold the net in place due to regular sliding the occurs when a missed shot hits the net. I had to buy metal ties that would prevent the sliding action, which allowed slack in the net and prevented the ball from rolling back out after a shot was taken. Initially, my boys hated the device and wanted me to return it. After some jimmy rigging the system it works good, but not like a higher end unit, yet for the price it works well.I also had to adjust the tension of the net with the velcro ties that come with the unit to stop the ball from being caught after a shot as well. At times I have to do this regularly or the ball gets stuck in the net and has to be dislodged. If my kids shoot by themselves it is a pain and throws off their rhythm. The great thing about this device is you can get up 500+ shots in an hour with using two balls. I already see my boys form improving and they are feeling more confident after a week of shooting with it.The big question is durability. I have owned it for a week and a 1,000+ shots a day taken by my boys and friends the jury is still out.

This thing is amazing!
My son spent the fall working really hard on his cross country running ... and his basketball shooting accuracy suffered. With tryouts coming up he asked for some way to get his shot rate up while practicing at home. I read reviews and decided to try the iC3.It's not the very easiest thing to assemble but even with the help of a 7- and 13-year old, it took less than an hour. We hoisted it up on to the rim, adjusted the pole standoff, and ... the thing just worked! Again and again and again - the ball goes in and it comes back to you. *Every* once in while the ball can hang up but if you're shooting with two balls (one after the other) the second ball will free the first. I can probably adjust things to reduce this even further. We used it over the Thanksgiving break, and it just kept right on working. My son could easily swing the ball return to where he wanted it. This contraption raises your shooting rate by 2-3X and by letting you stay put between shots it is much easier to concentrate on your form.Caveats - based on other reviews I made sure to get plenty of tension on the bottom of the net funnel. I suspect that any slack there will increase the stuck ball rate. Also, the net is well above the rim (which is a great thing for mid-range and out) but you'll want to take it off to close-in work. Two people can take it down and put it up quickly. The net extension rods collapse and fold up, making it something like a large fold-up chair with a weird extension for the ball return. All in all I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Ball won’t jam if set up correctly
Easy to assemble as long as you have a socket wrench, portable, and sturdy. People are complaining about the ball jamming but they fail to realize all you hav to do is adjust the stabilizing brace, which is really easy. Haven’t had a single ball jam since.I’d recommend if you have a hydraulic adjustment for your hoop or else it may get really challenging to adjust the height of the hoop.

Nice training tool!
Easy setup, easy install to the rim. The net does have to get broken in, in order for the balls not to get stuck as others have described.

Poor design causes ball to get stuck
I bought this as the "big" birthday gift for my 13 year old, who is a very serious basketball player. We were both very excited that we didn't have to go to the gym every time we wanted to use the dish. after 2 hours assembly, I find that the ball gets stuck at most angles because there's not enough space between rim and frame. Now I have to spend a lot of time disassembling to return, and my 13 year old has no real birthday gift. Thanks Dr. Dish.
