Might be protective, but too many flaws.
I returned this roughly 10 minutes after I received it. There are three major flaws that I can see:(1) It is incredibly difficult to fit the iPad into the "protective case" part, which is made of a really tough rubber. I'll bet it's very protective, but I could never actually fit my iPad into it. Maybe there's some trick that I didn't see in the user manual, but I felt like I was forcing the iPad so hard to try to fit it into the case that I was about to break it. In the end, I gave up.(2) The keyboard seemed plastic-y and flimsy. The case may "protect" the iPad, but what's the use if the keyboard breaks and you have to spend $70 on a new one?(3) As you can see from the pictures, the "iPad" part attaches to the "keyboard" part with a magnetic hinge. The hinge is really just a piece of fabric that flops back and forth. Ostensibly, it is supposed to allow the iPad to wrap around 360 degrees so you can fold the keyboard in back and use the whole thing like a tablet. However, the magnet that holds the case together is too weak, and when you try to fold it around, it loses its hold, leaving you trying to hold the keyboard and tablet together like a sandwich. In the end, this case *might* end up protecting your iPad, but if you want an actual useable keyboard case, you can do better elsewhere.

Great Value and Performance
I’ll start off by saying I paid 9.99 for this on clearance, but I would have paid more now that I have used it for a couple months. Also, when I rate a case, I care only about 3 things: price, protection and functionality. Cosmetic value doesn’t really factor in much. Fancy bells and whistles, while nice, don’t weigh as heavily either. If it checks the three fore-mentioned criteria, it is good to go in my book.Pros:- It is sturdy and with a couple 3 ft drops has done it’s job there.- I love that the keyboard detaches and re-attaches for flexible use. I do play a game or two, and it is nice to be able to easily take it off to play, and then put it back on when I am using it for work.- The kick stand on the back is probably the best part. It works beautifully both with the keyboard usage and without.Cons:- I probably got a deal because of the colors LOL. Red and a fuschia (?) color combo?? It’s very odd. But I buy the case for protection and functionality, and it wins in both those columns, so......-The case does take some finagling to get on, but I feel like that effort is rewarded with the protection it provides.-Two months in and the kickstand fabric is peeling off a little bit. But again, it is a cosmetic thing and doesn’t take away from the two things I care about: protection and functionality.SUMMARY: It is a great value at the price point I took advantage of. If I were to buy again, I’d spend upwards of $60 when I compare it to cases I have owned in the past (that is even with the poor color combination). It works well, seems solid enough. Realistically, I have come to expect 18-24 months of a lifespan from my cases. I have spent over 150 dollars on them for my iPad and now I’ve spent as little as 10. I think I prefer to go cheap, get as much life as I can and then move on to the next one.

My favorite iPad case ever once I got used to the drawbacks
Was this tough to get my iPad into? You betcha. Had to use a kitchen knife to lever that sucker in there. Definitely remove any tempered glass coverings before doing that, and do it cautiously, then put on a new tempered glass covering. Does the keyboard attachment de-attach somewhat easily? Sort of. What I'm finding, though, is that, after years of using clamshell cases, it's rather nice to be able to de-attach the keyboard and have a slimmer profile for my iPad. I really don't use the keyboard as much as I thought I did. When I need serious protection, when I'm traveling, or when I plan to do a lot of typing, I pop it back on and I have the option. But, the case is sooo protective without the keyboard that I've even dropped it face down a couple of times and it's been fine. I really like the stand on the back - sits nicely on my kitchen counter for recipes without the keyboard getting in the way of my chopping, etc. And, it looks really, really cool. I've gotten tons of compliments - my son even asked me if I had gotten a new iPad. Overall, I'm loving it. One gotcha that totally surprised me - the keyboard does NOT HAVE A CHARGER - it uses a round, flat CR2032 battery. I spent about an hour looking for the charger plug the first time it ran out of battery. Battery life is decent - the trick is to remember to turn it off when you are not using it.

Cautiously Awesome
I give 5 STARS but with reservations, or warning... According to iPad specifications, iPad GEN5 is supposed to be the exact same size as iPad Air 2. I bought this case with that knowledge. And it may be true, so... this case is very very very snug to get the iPad into. I eventually had to use a sharp knife to lift up the edge of the plastic case (which is very very firm), to try to get it to come up over the edge of the iPad. Very risky, I could have easily damaged my $600 iPad for the inexpensive case. However once I got it on, I LOVE IT. It looks awesome, feels really great in my hands. The keyboard feels good, feels sturdy. The bluetooth works fine. Everything is great.

Ugh
The bluetooth kept disconnecting during class and the battery light would flash red despite only being about 3 months old. The battery is allegedly supposed to last for 2 years without charging so it wasn’t like I could just charge it because there is literally no charger or port! I only bought this so that it would be easier to take notes in class and ended up having to pull out a notebook and pen when it stopped working for the millionth time. It worked perfectly for the first 2 months but by month 3 it started disconnecting and turning itself off. Also, the keyboard would also switch languages a lot, and it was annoying having to switch it back because of all the different European shortcuts. I contacted the seller and tried to get an exchange or even a refund but they don’t do anything after 30 days, which is incredibly frustrating. Especially if this only started to happen 3 months in, like what if it’s defective? I literally saved up to buy this. So, all these problems together with the fact that it’s SO HEAVY makes it not worth it at all. My iPad ended up weighing as much as my 2012 MacBook Pro. Save your money and buy something else.

Logitech BLOK case iPad Air 2
When you compare this to the other colours of this on amazon this is a clear winner! I had one of these for a previous iPad and loved it! Don’t love the purple and red combination but it works for what I need and it saved me $100. Works well so far! Will update later if there are any issues with connection, wear, etc.

Excellent iPad keyboard and excellent service
I'm a business writer and very heavy keyboard user. I've burned through 6 or 7 case/keyboard combinations (and three iPads) over the years, and this is one is absolutely the best I've tried - better even than those costing two and three times more. After months of use, I dropped it...protected my iPad perfectly but the keyboard part broke. I purchased a new one, which was defective. Amazon put me in touch with the manufacturer who responded immediately, and sent me a replacement. I recommend this product and the customer service highly.

Easy breezy
This product has been nothing but easy for me! I’m over the moon with the colour and material. Setting the keyboard up was no problem with my iPad Air 2 and even placing the ipad in the case wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. So far i have not one problem with the case and keyboard, love, love, love! Shipping was a breeze and it came in a new box, HIGHLY recommend!
