Closer Weekly Print Magazine

I enjoy this magazine more than "Peoples". I use to buy it at the checkout counter at my local grocery store, but thought a subscription was better because I found that if I was in a hurry, I would forget to pick a copy up. The magazine deals with people, places and shows that are bringing back memories of times when I was much younger and would rush home to watch a television show. I have often wondered what happened to certain actors over the years and now I know. This is one magazine that is not thrown into the trash, but passed around to my friends to read over and over again. Thank you for putting out a publication that isn't full of advertisements, pictures of people I don't know and have no interest in reading about. It is a waste of money to buy something that is full of what articles that only the younger generation is interested in reading. I totally love this magazine above all other supermarket magazines that are Hollywood celebrity oriented because it provides stories about the lives of celebrities from yesteryears (1980s and before.) The only problem is now I just can't afford to buy a full year subscription at a cheaper rate. Guess I'll have to do either the quarterly or semiannual route for now. Anyways -- if you love to keep up your knowledge of your favorite actors, actresses, musicians, et. al. from the old days of Hollywood up to the 1980s, this magazine is for you. I especially love it when they provide numerous articles on Doris Day -- a living legend who I believe is 96 now!

I really like the content of this magazine - easy, "feel-good" magazine. What I did NOT like when I had an "in-the-mail" subscription is I would receive it a week or more after it was available on a newsstand or in stores. It's actually a very small "copycat" to People magazine, but missing the in-depth articles and variety that People magazine offers. It's great for a quick "read" as a distraction, which is why I am digitally subscribing to it.

Bought this for my mother who lives in an assisted living facility. the celebrity stories feature stars she actually knows, she loves the puzzles and looks forward to receiving something in the mail weekly. Now I now what to get her for Christmas every year.

My wife loves the articles in this magazine. I love the puzzles. We first found this on the newsstand but thought it a bit expensive. We found this subscription, which softened the cost pain. It took quite a while to start arriving but is fairly regular, subject to the USPS problems. It is definitely an above average gossip magazine!

Enjoyable reading when you want something light and not offensive. Most the stories are about celebrities from the past, and their interviews are usually done with their cooperation so it's not your twisted scandal sheet. It's kind of fun to discover that many of the celebs from childhood led pretty impressive lives, lives that you were unaware of as a kid. Was surprised to learn that the actor who played Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) in the Get Smart series fought on Guadalcanal in WWII. It's more nostalgic, which can be charming and fun to read.

I love the Closer magazine because it doesn't talk bad about the stars or put them in a negative light. It Is a possible magazine were it's more about their biography then about bashing someone. I really enjoy reading about old Hollywood. Please continue this!! ❤

I love my Closer mag. it has lots of articles that catch my eye, it's not all gossip. My problem is finding the time to read it. I don't buy many magazines but I had to have this one.
