Single Contact Bayonet Base Socket (BA15s Light Bulb Base)

I bought this for rewiring a vintage lamp. It comes with wires already attached to the socket, so no additional soldering or wires were needed. In my case I had to shorten the mounting arm, which I did by bending it a few times. I thought the metal arm might might give out under this strain, but it held up great. The threaded hole is standard lamp diameter, so it fit all of the existing hardware I was using, no hardware store needed. The bulb spring is a little stiff, which I prefer because it makes a strong constant contact for the bayonet style bulbs. Exactly what I was looking for.

Nice brass quality Bayonet Base for BA 15s light bulbs; it has a good strong spring to make good electrical contact with the bulb as well. This material will not corrode easily and supports and holds the bulb base tightly. The black and white wires are long enough for accommodating many different configurations, and this can also accommodate a variety of voltage and amperage applications.It is well made.

Bought this to replace a old 1157 unit. It appears to have good workmanship. The wires are 6", I cound have used 2 more inches.

The socket is well made and the threads are clean. It's hard to find this kind of part. Good service, good product.
