PROS: Hangs nicely and doesn't scrape the top of the the door jam. Padding on the back side protects the door face from scratches or marks. VERY little unsightly overhang on the opposite side of the door.CONS: It is a little "flimsy" and pricey for the construction. The "hooks" are close together so hanging bulky items is prohibitive.Overall, it is a useful product.

I needed over door hooks for our two guest bathrooms. We've been in our new home over a year and this is something I have looked for many times, but never happy with anything I have seen, so never purchased.One of our bathroom doors has very little gap at the top, so the plastic type will never work because they are too thick. When I would look for metal hooks, many of them were designed with the bracket wide enough to fit an exterior door and included a metal spacer that you could supposedly install to make them fit an interior door; BUT, did they ever think about the fact that you might want to actually CLOSE the door? This is not possible with that type of hook mounted to the inside of an inswing door. Duh!So, long story short; I never bought any hooks, but still needed them. We were having guests last weekend, so that sparked the necessity of hooks again.And then I saw this one! Finally, I product that is thoughtfully designed and beautiful.It is designed so well (someone actually took the time to think, "hey, maybe people might actually want to install and use this." I bought two of them and they work perfectly on both bathrooms doors and look gorgeous! They are very sturdy also.I am totally blown away (yes, I'm that excited about a door hook). They are well worth every penny I paid and I would recommend them to anyone.Things I love about it:1) It fits 1&3/8 inch interior doors perfectly and looks like it would also fit 1&1/2 inch doors.2) The ENTIRE surface that comes in contact with both sides of the door is covered with a soft, rubberized padding that will keep it from scratching the door finish.3) The 'hook' that goes over the top of the door is very thin and allows even tight doors to close without rubbing or scraping against the door jamb.4) The 'lip' of the outer 'hook' is very small and does not hang way down the outside of the door, making it nearly hidden from the opposite side of the door when closed (on inswing doors).5) For doors that have the panel type design (i.e. 6 panel, 2 panel), or glass, the entire hook sits just above that, which does not obstruct or cover that part of the door. This also allows the entire hook to sit against a solid surface of the door. And, it just looks so much better than those that hang down further on the door.6) It's very sturdy.7) It is BEAUTIFUL!Thank you for such a great product. (If you decide the develop any other products, please let me know as I'm sure they will be far superior to anything out there.)Wish everything was made this well!

Looked so nice and had good ratings, but the pegs are more suited for t-shirts than towels. The pegs appear in the picture to stick out, but they are actually very small nubs. The CEO was nice in writing back and talking about creating a new one that would be more suitable. Just don't understand the photo compared to the actual.

I gave up my hall closet to be a "toy closet" for my three boys. When I invited 15 people over for a Christmas get-together, it suddenly dawned on me that I had nowhere to put all the coats! I ordered these and they are perfect. I'll be keeping them over the doors in my [tiny] formal living room for guests. They are sturdy. As some have noted, they are low profile (meaning they don't stick out very far), but I thought they worked just fine. Some coats have hoods or hooks and can be hung by those. The heaviest or bulkiest can always go on a hanger which can then be hung on these hooks. I like that they look sleek. They also arrived quickly and the company seemed very interested in making sure I was satisfied. Nice customer service. Thanks!

The biggest problem I have with this and the two others I have purchased elsewhere is that neither of them actually fit the door. They have all been too small. I do love the fact that the part of the apparatus that contacts the door has a thin padding on it.

I looked extensively for an over the door hooks that would fit my door that is 1 3/8 and I relied a lot on the Amazon reviews. Most of the other hooks were too big and fit 1 3/4 or bigger. This looks fits well. I love that they are padded so it doesn't damage the door and that the piece over the back is not too long so it doesn't show well. The only downside is that they tend to be high on the door and I am really short (5 feet) but I am still able to reach on my toes. I bought it for the towels in bathroom and I am going to buy more for the bedrooms to put clothes. The look is modern.

I wasn't sure if these pegs would hold a large bath towel or not, but our traditional door-hanging towel racks had scratched our bathroom door quite a bit and had started to rust. Plus, it's a pain to hang multiple towels on a traditional door rack. I was worried that these pegs would cause the towels to fan and we wouldn't be able to close the door because of our wall / door layout. I quickly discovered that the door can still be closed as the towels stay against the door. Also, we have 4 towels hanging easily from these pegs. I wish I had bought this years ago instead of our other contraption which marked up our door from rubbing against it.

Great product, after I had it modified to fit an outside door. The bar was too narrow. I took it to a car repair shop to have them cut the bar so it will slide over the door. Then screwed the bar in place. It looks nice and frees space by hanging several coats.
