Great Customer service....They ended up making it right!
UPDATE of My prior review.OK, the below review was on a unit that apparently defective.Talon GPS and their leader, Kristen, have stepped up to the plate and showed what a caring business does...they make things right....and they have.Because of their Customer Service efforts at this time, replacement of my bad battery pack...I have upped my rating and my review. Everyone makes an error, and apparently my complaint had gotten lost in the shuffle....but my new replacement is on it's way.So Kudos to Kristen and to Talon GPS. I left my old review as a reminder to others, that even though the initial experience was not good, that good companies can adapt and they have!I am a licensed PI, and have used g p s units for 5 years....early adopter.I switched to this battery pack and case because it looked rugged. Big mistake.First of all, the "padding" inside is inadequate. It consists of a top and bottom layer of 1/4" cheap foam...I mean it might as well have not been in there. I ended up throwing theirs away and getting quality foam to line it....big difference. The case itself is strong....but a bit heavy. And the latch is not as secure as you would want on the undercarriage of a car getting bounced around constantly. , It pops off way to easy. Strike 1There magnet unit is a Rube Goldberg joke. First of all, you need a quality magnet unit to hold the GPS, and as important, it doesn't come off easy. A solid 2 inch solid circle magnet is best. These jokers screwed a metal round hollow holder to the case, then GLUED 5 little round button magnets into that cup. This is sooo cheap and so not a good holding magnet. Strike 2.Now we get to the "extended' battery pack. OMG, here is the ripoff of all times, these 3 Lithium Ion AA sized batteries, soldered together with a wire, then a piece of shrink wrap plastic is wrapped around them so they look "special". Disguise. Strike 3At best they may...may last 6 weeks....but I pull them and change out every 4 weeks and they're down to 40%. But remember, as the battery depletes, it depletes faster. So, I can't take that chance while being paid.Totally overpriced and under performs.

A little big...but works!
This is a must have with any of the CL200/CL300 style trackers -- if you plan on any long term investigations. Now, about this product specifically. It is well padded on the inside and the batter and unit fit well without being to cramped.Battery charged up overnight (light on charger changed from red to green when done). So far, my CL300 has been running for 4 days and battery still in the 90% range. As for size, it is a bit bigger and heavier than I would have thought -- could probably shave off a half inch on each dimension ...Magnet -- on this one, its going to be interesting. Its strong, but not amazingly so. I had to wedge the unit between the frame and the undercarriage. the magnet should be strong enough to hold it in place, but I am pretty sure I can reach under and pull it out with one hand. I sure hope it doesnt come loose and lose an expense tracker!I can tell you, that even in the box and pinned against the frame of the car, the tracker is able to get a clear satellite signal and cell reception to send updates. So far, no issues, but I will update this as time goes on...

Waste of money
Lasted 10 more days than the battery in the GL300. Waste of money.
