SILVER SCREEN MEND 5X7

I bought this to repair two holes in our screen from a dog paw. After looking at repair kits this seemed to be one of the easier things to try. It doesn’t look too bad out of place since I tried to align it with the screen. Looks good enough from a distance it isn’t too noticeable.Pros:Easy to follow instructionsEasy InstallationNo specialized tools needed (just a pair of scissors and hair dryer)Cons:The “adhesive” on the screen doesn’t come off the backing of the screen patch too easily. Due to this not all of the adhesive may come off the backing. For this I took off a star.Even with carefully lining up the screen once heat is applied the screen can shift and become misaligned. Can’t move the screen back into alignment while applying heat. I took another star off for this.

I purchased this item to repair a small hole in my screen, received the product promptly. when I opened the package, I peeled the screen replacement off of the backing, noting some bumpiness residue to the backing, seems all the 'sticky' backing was suppose to be on the screen, which it was not, but I had faith that this was still going to work, I followed directions, but there is no adhesiveness to the screen, it may have gotten hot in transit, I don't know, but it was worthless, my screen still has a hole in it...

Well the package did exactly what it said it would. I cut the piece to fit and then held up to the area turned on blow dryer and it seem to adhere right to the screen. Because the area I was repairing was next to a door handle on the screen, I also cut a duplicate size piece and did the same thing on the outside. Both installations went smoothly and now only time will tell how well it last.I have to say I am impressed that it did exactly what they said it was as easy as they said. Definitely a five star product based on those criteria. As I said time will tell how long it holds up but I am very helpful!

I used this to fix a 3 inch hole in my screen door created by my cat. It was extremely easy to use, as long as you have an outlet near the screen and a hairdryer to adhere the patch. I put a patch on both sides of the hole and my cat has not touched it since. I live in Dallas, TX, the screen gets full sun all day, and it is currently very hot outside and I have had no issues with the patch staying adhered. The one minor issue I have is that it’s ugly, but for the price I paid I can look past it for now.

This window screen repair truly works and is really fast and easy to use. Screens are expensive and since we have oddly shaped windows in our house it is tough to find a screen that fits, without special ordering them. We had a four by five inch or so rip in our screen and it kept letting in flies. I didn't want to but a new screen, so I tried this window screen repair kit our instead. I was a little skeptical at first, but after I easily used it and it worked, I am now a believer. The process was so easy that any person could do it, as long as you have a hair dryer. Because of the size of my tear, I did not even have to cut the material and just took the back off and stuck it on there. In just a few minutes it was like I had a brand new working screen. It looks good and works well. We have had some wind and rain at our house as of late and I was a little worried about the screen, but after it made it through the storms without any problems, I won't worry about it anymore. I hope I don't get anymore screen tears, but if I do, I will not be looking to buy any new screens, but just buy the Screenmend window screen repair kit and blow dry my way to a brand new functional screen.

After a weekend renter covered each tiny hole in the screens with scotch tape (what were they thinking? Wisconsin Mosquitos are mammoth and wouldn't fit in those tiny holes), I bought this product. First thing I discovered is that you need to cut a big enough patch to deliver enough wax to stick. Second thing is finding that sweet spot where you have enough heat to soften the wax and not so much it disappears. But, after you earn the merit badge for application, the patch stays firmly attached and is less visible than any of the tape screen repair, or metal patches with the tiny hooks. I'm going to be ordering more.

Best invention ever!!! My cats scratched up a screen in a rental and the agent said a patch would be fine- I remembered these from Shark Tank and they are great- just hold in place and use a blow dryer on hot setting for no more than just a minute or two and you have a patch that is firmly adhered and does not feel like it is going anywhere. The other ones all hold on for two minutes and then peel right off- this sucker is going no where!!!!

This product is completely useless. Both sheets of screen patch peeled away from the paper and left all the adhesive on the paper. I tried and retried to start separating the paper at multiple points, but it the adhesive was firmly stuck to it and not the screen. Don't waste your money!!

Absolutely awful to work with, the backing pulls the adhesive off of the screen so it does not stick. I feel like I got an old product and the glue had gone bad.

Not sure if seller send a very old batch of product but there was no glue on this patch screens. When I removed the film and warm it with hair dryer and tried to stick it over the hole, the screen would not stick..not at all as there was no glue in them. Wish I could give negative rating to the seller.

It’s almost like this was an old package and the adhesive had completely dried (and I followed the direction completely)

This product, does not stick. Or the one I got is a old one. Best yet I can't return it.
