Water Hardness test Strips

We use these strips to help us determine the hardness of water passing through our motor home water filtration system and have found them to be very beneficial. 100 strips per package allows us enough quantity to test our water as we travel the country as well as our home. Pull water from the tap or hose and dip the test strip into the water and read immediately. The side of the bottle contains a read out that you match to the strip color to determine the hardness of the water. This is a very simple test strip to use, easy to read, and the hardness of the water matches the comparison tool well. We have felt very successful in using these test strips.

Works as expected for this type of tester. Gives you a general idea of water harness. I have a water softener and test showed close to 0 ppm scale, then tested outside water and it showed in the 125ppm range, so clearly the softener is doing its thing which is really all I needed to know. If you need definition to something like 20 vs 25ppm none of these strip testers will do that - you need a much more expensive test kit.

I don’t know if I should trust this. I used it with a water bottle as well and it came brown so I’m not sure if it works or not

My water softener wasn't working properly so I bought this to measure my water hardness level. Turns out i was right all along! Test strip turned pink-red which indicates very hard level. I went and manually regenerate my water softener then a few hours later I test again. Turns yellow and water feels soft and slick!

I’ve monitored my well and softener for many years using many different methods and the hach 5 testing kit is far and away the gold standard. These are dead nuts on next to a hach test and much easier. My hardness level changes with each Ohio rain and or drought and these allow me to dial in my softener in just a few seconds as opposed to the hach test which is much more cumbersome. Buy with confidence. The only issue is if you wait for more than 30 seconds than the color turns a shade that doesn’t match.

I believe that test strips are accurate based upon the 4 scenarios: 1) Bottled water-near 0 ppm, 2) well water - 125 ppm, 3) water before regeneration - slightly lower than 125 ppm 4) water shortly after regen - slightly above 0 ppm I am very pleased with these results. Good jobs guys!

Very disappointed with the accuracy of these test strips. When my water softener was recharged and the product "Iron out" was added, the tester still showed 125ppm. As a result I purchased a different test strip to compare. The other tester showed 0 ppm soft water. I will not be purchasing the Bartovation again.

These are very good and accurate and the case keeps them dry. I us them for my water Softner just too make sure it is still working.

I purchased these to check our water softener is working OK. I know the hardness of our water and the indication from these strips agreed when testing it. Our softened water showed up correctly as well. I'm happy.
