The Prorap Classic Diaper Cover is made from a soft polyester knit with a leak-proof urethane barrier. This is one of the few diaper covers you will find with gussets. Gussets are extra material around the leg openings designed to stop leaks. The Prorap Classic features waterproof institutional laundry safe hook and loop Velcro closures. The Velcro loop extends across the tummy to give you a great fit. The Prorap Classic has material above the loop section to prevent scratching. It features elastic across the back to provide a snug fit around the waist. Another great feature of the Prorap Classic is that it has an umbilical scoop on the newborn size as pictured to the left. You can use this wrap together with a Kissaluvs Size 0 for the newborn period. Just carefully tuck the Kissaluvs diaper under the Proraps wings at the hip. You will need at least 6 covers and up to 15 Size 0 Kissaluvs each day. You can also use the newborn Prorap Classic cover with preemie prefolds. You will...

excellent product!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
randomly bought these since i could not pass up the price. so pleased!! i have been using on son since he was a week. i just plop a prefold in (bought the shorter ones with purple edging and they fit in this beautifully!!!)http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FOWDKC/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and stack them up and pull out as needed. they have held up nicely in the wash and the gussets help keep down the explosions. (think i have only had 2 to date.) will def be ordering more as he outgrows these. also pp recommended getting preemie for her 8lb baby. i did the same for my 9.5 lb baby and thank goodness!! don't know that he would have been able to wear NB the first few weeks. he is almost 10lbs now and preemie still fit but won't last much longer. **not sure if i am doing it wrong but don't think you would really be able to do the prefold style dipes with snappi or safety pins and then cover with this. i trifold prefold and lay in and it works beautifully....if you like the other way though you would prob be surprised. but i am fairly new to cd'ing so could be missing something.

NB covers
I used these for NB stage. The Velcro is very strong and works well, however is a little bulky. I don't care for the plastic feeling inside, and my little guy grew out of these fast! But we had no issues with leaks or blowouts, and you can't beat the price. I would use them again.

Economical and get the job done!
These diaper covers are a good, economical choice for newborns. If I were using these for long term I would invest in a nicer cover, but the reality is you're only going to use these for a few months during the newborn stage. Are they perfect? No. The inside is plastic and cheap feeling. There are no pockets to tuck in prefolds. The white color stains easily around the leg gussets. The upside? Very affordable (about half the price of Thirsties and work almost as well) and get the job done. I do like that the velcro tabs are thick - much thicker than other brands - and so seem to hold their place better, especially if you're using these with something bulkier like a fleece fitted. We have used this cover with OsoCozy prefolds and Kissaluvs fleece fitted diapers. They have worked well with both. We did have a couple of leaks with the prefolds, especially once baby got to about 8lbs or so and became a heavier wetter, but with pee only. Have not had any blowouts with these covers.I anticipate this cover will work well until baby is at least 10 lbs so it's well worth the investment if your baby has a ways to go before getting to that weight. We have a skinny baby but I think these would work well with a pudgy baby too - plenty of room in leg gussets and they are pretty soft around the leg openings.Following are the newborn covers I have used and my analysis:1. Bummis whisper wrap, Newborn size. This is the smallest cover I could find and is very trim on her. I estimate she will outgrow it around 10lbs but for now it's my preferred cover especially for the daytime prefolds because it fits so close to her bum. Not the finest quality but doesn't matter since they will have a short life. They do have a pocket in front which is convenient for a trifolded prefold. http://www.amazon.com/Bummis-Whisper-Diaper-Ladybug-Newborn/dp/B006I2FE8M/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1421549301&sr=8-6&keywords=bummis+whisper+wrap2. Prorap classic, Size Small. This is a super basic cover but definitely does the job, and is really inexpensive. They fit well over the Kissaluvs so I'm using them at night. I estimate these will fit her until 12-15lbs. These are just as good as the other covers but 1/2 the price so I will likely get more of these. I thought the velcro would bother me but it's so EASY for nighttime changes and seems to be holding up fine. http://www.amazon.com/Prorap-Classic-Diaper-Covers-Newborn/dp/B0027ZARMW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1422548517&sr=8-3&keywords=prorap+classic3. Thirsties Duo Wrap, size 1. These are HUGE on her. Technically, they fit but they look totally ridiculous and are super bulky. I put them away for now and am going to try them again once she hits around 8.5/9lbs. The good news with these though is they adjust a lot so I think they will last her until at least 15lbs maybe more. http://www.amazon.com/Thirsties-Wrap-Snap-Meadow-Size/dp/B003AJXY1U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421549517&sr=8-1&keywords=thirsties+duo+wrap4. Thirsties XS. Much better fit than Thirsties size 1 for a newborn. The PUL cover appears to be of higher quality than the Bummis or Prorap, but I don't think it justifies the higher price. They are larger than Bummis and Prorap so I typically pair with the Kissaluvs fitteds since those are bulky. I anticipate that baby will continue to wear these even after she has outgrown the Bummis and Proraps so that is a plus since they will have a longer life. But by then I will likely just move on to the Duo Wraps since those have snaps and appear to be a higher quality product. http://www.amazon.com/Thirsties-Diaper-Cover-Celery-X-Small/dp/B001TUYH6I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1422548570&sr=8-2&keywords=thirsties+xs

eh, not sooo great
I don't like that it had no Velcto tabs inside for when I wash it. also, my baby is long and still pretty skinny at five days old and the tabs don't fit around his legs to his belly very well. I've purchased other covers for a few dollars more and they r far superior.

Great!
The price is right, and these diaper covers are great for newborns. Our baby isn't here yet, but I have used this brand with other people's babies and found them to be pretty good and their price is unbeatable. They may be a big loose on tiny babies, but for the average newborn they fit well. They seem to be well made, all the seams are nice and smooth and the aplix seems of high quality too. I have already washed them and hung them dry with no issue. We'll see how they hold up, but I'm guessing they'll do well since they're only meant to fit up to 12 pounds. I can see them lasting through a few children at least!

Serve their purpose, but they discolor easily.
Meh. These serve the purpose, but they get discolored really easily around the leg-holes. Fels Naptha soap cleans it up pretty well, though. For the price, they're a pretty good value

Good, useful cover. Only two flaws
This cover would perfect if it had holder tabs for the velcro (the velcro flaps are very sharp and can scratch the infant.Other covers have a tab on that allows one to fasten it while changing...these don't). I would also like them better if they came in other colors :)Otherwise, these are great covers. They fit well, are super adjustable (they are quite a bit of elastic which allows for very easy adjustment) and are easy to use. I highly recommend them for anyone on a budget who wants a good, basic cover that works.

stiff & would only fit a baby perfectly sized for it
many covers with velcro on the market have it where you can tighten around the waist (and in turn the legs) by securing the velcro straps one on top of the other. This cover you cant do that. So your baby has to pretty much be a perfect fit to this cover or the legs are too big. gave it a go twice and got leaked on both times.
