The best there is!
The "8" version has a lot of new things and well worth the price. Of course, this is a complex program with a considerable learning curve. Still, the results are so beautiful and professional that it is time well spent. The supplier (East Coast Music) shipped me the "Student" version which I returned (after waiting another week) when the "Professional" arrived. One star for them!

I have expected that Sibelius 8 Proffesional wil be better than Sibelius 8.13.
The problems I had with Sibelius 7.13 are the same. and I will contact the technical support.

Still the Best Notation Program Available
I have Finale, Dorico and Sibelius. I find that Finale's interface is archaic and clunky these days and Dorico is promising but still a little too new for me to switch (though it is moving toward some amazing features not found elsewhere). Sibelius's intuitive interface is incredible. I also bought NotePerformer to go along with it, which is a must have in my opinion. The Sibelius sounds are not that great and I never use them, but adding NotePerformer makes not only the sounds but the performance SO much better and clearer - just load and notate, that's it. NotePerformer handles the dynamics, performance and panning all at once. No tweaking required unless you want to I originally bought Finale a few years ago because of the Human Playback, but discovered it's not all that significant and GPO is OK but not wowing by today's standard. I continued to use Finale for years, but when I decided to give Sibelius a try last year due to the way you can use sample libraries and create sound sets, it was like waking up in a new era. Seriously, Avid has it together with this notation package. Once I got NotePerformer, I was sold hands down and have not opened Finale since, except to remind myself how clunky it is.Note that NotePerformer 3 supports Finale and Dorico as well. So you can use it regardless of which notation program you have. However, I have had loading and audio issues with Finale since upgrading to the 24 version and the fixes don't always work, so it's basically just taking up space on my hard drive. There is nothing that Finale can do that Sibelius cannot and Sibelius makes it so much easier. An intuitive interface is what I want when I have a creative flow going. I don't want to have to slow down because that one thing I need to add to the score is in an obscure place or I have to click through menu after menu to get to it.If you already own Finale, you can do a cross-grade for 1/3 the price and keep your Finale license. Also, the Sibelius demo version is not that great. That alone kept me from buying it for a few years. Once you purchase it and download the full software, it's a different story. Much better. As of today, I would first choose Sibelius, then Dorico and if both were unavailable, maybe Finale - including NotePerformer with whichever. This might change as Dorico continues to mature. Finale has a lot of features, but if they're not intuitive, who's going to use them except people who are already long time Finale users?

Great software, horrible support
Great software, horrible support. Have you tried to contact support? It's impossible. I've even tried to find a number for sales when I wanted to purchase this item. There is none. Why would I purchase a product when I can't contact them? I contacted Finale in 20 seconds. Get Finale. It's worth the support.
