GSO 2" SuperView Eyepiece - 30mm

Great eyepiece to search the night sky with and discover beauties like the Pleiades!

Now a caveat to start with, this is no Nagler. There is some visible field curvature in faster scopes that a more expensive eyepiece will correct for, and if you want the best of the best there are better options.That being said, I can't think of anything that performs this well for what this costs. If I had under a hundred dollars and wanted an eyepiece, this is what I'd get first. The optics are clear and sharp, and I've used this eyepiece for many large targets like M8, M31, and M41 with wonderful results. With a wider aFOV than other eyepieces around this price range you'll also be able to see more sky at a given magnification which is nice.As I mentioned above, there is some field curvature around the edges that will show up when paired with faster optical systems like most newtonians, but this doesn't affect the center of your image. If you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with this eyepiece.

Really nice eyepiece however the field of view I don't believe is as specified. The stars cannot be focused to pinpoints even in the center of the field. Checked this against similar eyepieces and they could be focused to pinpoints. I do like the wide field although I wished I had gone with a better brand and spent the extra dollars. You get what you pay for!

Came with my Apertura AD8, very nice eyepiece for moon, Orion Nebula, Andromeda galaxy, etc.

This eyepiece came with my Aventura AD8 telescope and it is really great. I feel like I am up in the sky when I look through it.
