Juiceboxx - Macbook Charger Cable Protector (Black 85W)

After purchasing this I was quite excited to have something to solve the ago old problem that has and still plagues the Apple laptop power supply. Although, something is fundamentally wrong with this product. Following the directions carefully I placed both halves on either side of my charger and carefully aligned them before placing pressure to secure them together. Then I heard a crack! One of the small clips meant to secure both halves broke off and was loose inside. I like the product and it fits well but you need to either reinforce the clips or possibly use a different plastic that gives a little this plastic seems very very brittle.--- UPDATE (11/13/15): ---I emailed the company to make them aware of the issue I had. They promptly emailed me back and said the product has a lifetime warranty. They sent a new one to me in less then a week. I changed my review from 3 stars to 4 stars because of the lifetime warranty and the promptness in which they addressed my issue. I honestly would have give it 5 out of 5 stars if the product had reinforced tabs and/or the plastic was not so brittle.

I am reading some of the reviews and plainly see that some the reviewers obviously did not follow ordering and installation directions.First, how easy is it to flip over your charger and read the wattage? It is your own fault for not looking and if your smart enough to own a MacBook then you should know how to look for the proper wattage size! Don't write a bad review just because you didn't read ordering instructions!Second, some reviewers say it slips off and they used tape to keep it from falling off. Huh? Did they read the DIRECTIONS? It plainly says to separate the case halves and FLIP up the 2 cord winder tabs and THEN install the charger. If you follow ORDERING and INSTALLATION directions you will find this product works well and safely secures your charger cord end and stays on securely. Nice product and it does a great job because even if you did have to buy another one, this protective cover will keep it from getting damage in the first place.

I'm so tired of dealing with broken MagSafe chargers! The way I've come to use mine invariably leads to a cable short just ahead of the strain relief on the wall end of the cable. I always try to be careful with wrapping and storing, but ultimately the same fate awaits each charger. I had to purchase yet another new charger last week, but I looked around for some product to help extend the life of the darn thing this time. Most of what I found didn't fit my bill. The vulnerable area of the cable either remains vulnerable, or some significant drawback is added to the overall functionality (excessive bulk, shallow connection with outlet, etc.). But this Juiceboxx looked pretty good!It doesn't wrap all the way to the wall side of the charger, so it avoids any problems with contact to the outlet. It isn't especially bulky. And I'm particularly pleased to see that the design actually protects the vulnerable spot from strains under the weight of the charger itself in my backpack. My only complaint is that it doesn't close onto the charger with as tight a seal as I anticipated. There are little gaps at a few points where the two halves don't fit together perfectly. Otherwise, very nicely done, Juiceboxx design team!

TLDR; The case slips off the charger, so I used some 3M mounting tape to secure it, works great now.I was looking for a case for my macbook charger that would allow it to distinguish itself from my friends/family members chargers since were always getting into arguments over whose charger it is, as well as a way to protect the cable at the end from breaking over time. This product was pretty much exactly what I was looking for and I was very excited that someone had solved all these issues however upon receiving it it was not as functional as advertised. 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Mounting Tape, Clear (4010) The case only covers 3 of the 4 sides of the charger and consequently it just slips off the charger with the slightest amount of friction. This is a horrible design which could have been remedied if the product included rubber rails or grips of some sort on the inside. I was actually able to get the product to work how I wanted it to by using a small amount of clear double sided 3M mounting tape affixed to either side of the charger and then snapping on the case. Now this sucker won't go anywhere and the product works as advertised.

Pretty good at what it's supposed to do. It does slide off from time to time but it's not bothersome.

Does the job. People say it slips but it doesn't. They re just not installing it properly
