How to correctly install the filters
The media could not be loaded. I purchase these filters in a regular basis. Easy to install, work great and keep the water clean for 3-4 weeks. Fits perfectly and you have to make sure the writing SIDE A always facing towards you when replacing the filters.

Don’t change the filters all at once
Definitely no bigger than 20galls .I bought the filter for the wrong reason….I liked the idea of it….slim , unusual , nothing quite like it, four little filters, pump on the inside of the water uptake tube . It works quite nicely. But for a serious filter get the AquaClear

Easy to change
I love these because they are easy to change and of all the cartridge type filters I’ve used seem to be the best made. I alternate changing one side each week in an s10 model. They are also really cheap like what 75 cents per cartridge, I spend 5 times that daily on coffee lol. As usual with amazons weird pricing at the time of this review, they are cheaper the less you buy so I Just buy 10 3 packs for 23$ rather than one 18 pack for 27$. Unless I’m missing something and it’s 18 3 packs. You never know with amazons awful descriptions but I’m not going to risk it because it probably is just 18 cartridges.

No more trips to the pet store!
Whoever said taking care of fish is easy has never properly cared for one. Caring for fish means weekly maintenance/checks and monthly full cleanings. Of course, this process has been made easier with filters, automatic feeders, and bottled water treatments.When I found this I was extremely happy! I worry less about my fish and am able to regularly maintain their tank. I would recommend this product to those who have a Marina 10-gallon tank, but don't always have the time to go to the pet store. It's convenient and fair-priced. I'm a college student with a Marina 10-gallon tank. I bought the tank at the local pet store almost a year ago, but after a few months they jacked up the prices on filters! My budget was (still is) limited to the leftover money from my paycheck after the bills, groceries and gas, so some days I felt like I couldn't afford paying $8.99 per 3/pack every two to three weeks. This pack was such a life-saver!

It's a filter cartridge.
So, it's a filter cartridge. For a specific type of aquarium filter and a specific type of fish. I happen to have that type of filter and that type of fish so... thumbs up, I guess.Phoenix, the betta I bought the product for, isn't a great conversationalist, but he seems to be satisfied at how it's filtering his 10 gallon tank. At minimum he hasn't complained. There is some algae growing so perhaps when I get a snail to put in there they'll chat and I may be able to get the real scoop on what they think of it.
