The Yurei is a traditional Japanese ghost, but unlike the Western World’s ghosts, the Yurei has no problem passing through the world of the living and the dead. The Yurei is a horrific figure in Japanese culture and are often less concerned with frightening someone than they are in outright killing them. They cannot be contained or destroyed and have near unlimited power. They act more as a force of nature than a simple vengeful spirit- like a tsunami of evil compare to the simple thunder storm of Western ghosts. It was with all this in mind that we here at Maeda Brand developed the Yurei Jiu Jitsu Gi: Featuring a 500 GSM cotton Pearl Weave jacket, made from a single piece of fabric, with ample reinforcements in all the major stress points, the Yurei Competition Gi is lightweight, yet made to withstand hardcore training. The fabric itself undergoes a rigorous preshrinking process so your gi remains the same size wash after wash. The lapel is made from synthetic, heat resistant vulcanized rubber, covered in the same ripstop material as the pants, which keeps the gi light, allows for faster drying, and keeps your lapel fungus and bacteria free. The pants are made from light, yet extremely durable, 8 oz cotton/polyester ripstop material with double reinforced knee padding, triple stitched with over lapped seams. The Yurei jiu Jitsu Gi also has NO-Grip sleeve technology (ripstop lines both sleeves) making it more difficult for your opponent to keep his or her grips on you.
